Cork It Buford - Wine and Charcuterie Buford — Restaurant in Buford

I visited this restaurant recently with a group of friends and we were underwhelmed to say the least. They were out of almost everything when we arrived for our 8pm reservation. One of the members of my party ordered the turkey pesto caprese panini and to her surprise there weren't any tomatoes on it. Everyone knows that you can't call something caprese if it doesn't have tomatoes on it - not to mention that it was in the description on the menu! When we asked the staff if they were out of tomatoes the response was that there was a typo on the menu and the turkey pesto caprese panini in fact DID NOT come with tomatoes (nor did he offer tomatoes). It was laughable at best . By that point we were over the experience and just wanted to get out of there.

Also important to note, if you pay using their handheld credit card machine they will somehow auto subscribe you to their emails and spam you via Square. I requested a printed receipt but never got one. I did not key in my email address anywhere so not sure how that all happened but I'm assuming Square has credit card profile data on the back end that they use to push out emails. I received 3 emails from the restaurant within 48hrs. Way to value privacy.

The only saving grace was the live music otherwise it's not...

Recently moved to buford (literally 3 minutes away) and decided to stop by this place to listen to quick live music. I was hanging out with two of my kids and as I walked in side it seemed like kids wouldn’t be an issue since it wasnt packed and everyone inside were probably in their late 50’s - 60’s. I was approached by a rude owner named Roland Stanley with a very nice pink shirt who came very close to me and said “we don’t allow kids in here” and I told him I stopped in for a few minutes to check out the artist, he than responds back “we don’t allow random people with kids off the streets”

Since their business doesn’t have much reviews on here, I’ll be happy to contribute. Roland Stanley is a super arrogant owner and next time your business is slow and not attracting young customers, don’t take it out on “random people off the streets” who are taking a peek inside your place, it’ll save you bad reviews like this one

We have been trying to find the right time to get to Cork It and finally did! We went on a Saturday evening. Cork It had a very soothing ambiance, the staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable. We were a little disappointed that 2 items on the menu that we wanted to try they ran out of (the Pimento Cheese Bruschetta and Deviled egg Bruschetta) and they also had no olives. We ordered the small charcuterie and cheese board, Italian Panini, and Turkey Pesto Caprese. Everything was delicious. My husband ordered the Executive flight and I ordered the White flight - Sella Antica and Torresella being the favorites. We wanted to end the night with a dessert wine but sadly they were out of that too. We will definitely revisit Cork...
