As a Level 7 Google Local Guide with over 19 million photo views and ranked in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google, I can say Italian Pie is absolutely worth the trip. I actually drove over an hour to revisit for a pie, and it was just as good the second time around. The staff — Brayn, Carlos, and Jayden — are young but incredibly impressive. They’re polite, customer service oriented, quick thinkers, and keep things clean and tidy. These young people are running a tight ship, and it shows. The dining room itself is on the smaller side, and because the place is frequently visited, you may need to wait for seating to open up. The tables are picnic-style, so you might sit near someone you don’t know — but it never feels uncomfortable, just part of the friendly atmosphere. I ordered the large Rustica, which is essentially their meat lover’s pizza with Alfredo sauce. The pizza was amazing, but what really impressed me was the ground beef. Unlike the pellet-style meat you find at chain restaurants, Italian Pie uses finely ground beef that tastes fresh and homemade. They do have a few locations, but the food and service don’t feel like a chain at all — everything about this spot feels local, intentional, and personal. Another big plus — they offer FREE carbonated water. That may seem like a small detail, but it’s rare in most restaurants, and to me it shows they value their customers. The location is one of the best Buford has to offer, set right next to boutiques and other eateries. It’s a lively, busy area, but there’s plenty of parking along the street. I don’t drink, but for those who do, the wine selection here is plentiful and well displayed. The restrooms were clean, though I did notice there’s no changing table in the men’s room — something I always look for as a family consideration. Bottom line: Italian Pie delivers excellent pizza, strong customer service, free carbonated water, and a location that makes it a destination in Buford. Between the quality of the food and the effort of the staff, this is a 5-star experience all the way. 📸 Photos taken with my Galaxy S23 Ultra.

I am an avid customer to this location and have always enjoyed the pizza. I went in yesterday to pick up my wings and pizza and noticed the pricing was a little higher then what I am used to paying. I asked the cashier why it seemed higher than usual and she replied that I was being charged $1 because I wanted my pizza crust well done and I was also being charged another $1 because I wanted my wings extra crispy. I understand prices are going up on everything but charging a customer extra for their food to be cooked to a certain temperature is just very Petty. So I asked to speak with the manager or owner and luckily I was able to speak with the owner and see what his thoughts on it were. Upon speaking with the owner he became frustrated with my concerns and ultimately shushed me off in front of my daughter. Needless to say when I got home the pizza dough was not cooked all the way and the wings were not extra crispy and had no sauce on them. So I was charged extra and never got what I paid for.

Victor the manager was stellar, immediately recommended me an awesome red wine “bonanza” (btw they have half off on all their wine selection on Tuesday) and I came in time to take advantage of their lunch special. For 8.99 you get a huge slice of pizza (2 topping) and a salad. They have a bunch of other lunch options too but this one was straight up my alley. The glass of wine was generous and for 20$ I couldn’t imagine getting a better lunch anywhere in town. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a good pie and a wholesome family atmosphere. They have easily over 50wines and some IPA beers too. About to get down on some gelato, we went with the Italiana and the pistachio and both were super authentic and super tasty/creamy. Bring your family and you won’t be disappointed.

I’m usually not one to make a bad review but I think this experience was pretty notable. We came in for dinner and we ordered 3 slices of cheese pizza and a side Caesar salad. First, the girl was about to charge us for someone else’s order that was almost 70 dollars and then she fixed it. We sat down and waited 25 minutes which is fine if not for the fact that people that had ordered after us and more food than us got their orders before us. The whole time the girl who took our order was sitting down talking to a guy who did not seem to work there. Then she finally came over and said she accidentally made our order to go even though we ordered dine in food. That is fine, everyone makes mistakes but when she brought over the food we asked how long it had been sitting there and she said only like 2 minutes. We open the box and the pizza is lukewarm and I received the wrong salad. I ordered a side salad but got a full sized shrimp salad which I didn’t order. Looking at the receipt, I realized I was charged for a full size salad too which I didn’t realize at the time. I am disappointed with the experience here. We have eaten here before and our experience was great and we were looking forward to coming back. I work in customer service so I completely understand making mistakes, but she didn’t even apologize and just walked away. For anyone reading, the food is great but the workers...

My husband and I were passing by from Alabama to vacation at Lanier Lakes and came upon Italian Pie for some pizza. We had the most wonderful experience. Brian was the best face for Italian Pie as his greeting very warm and welcoming and he continued to display off-the-chart service with the best wine suggestions, pizza options, gelato tasting and even arranged a patron named Colton to play the piano for us. Colton amazed us with this off-the-cuff fantastic piano playing. There was a guitar o the wall that these 2 other young men began playing along with the piano. It was a magical night with the coziest atmosphere, nice music, delicious wine, and the best pizza. This place not only created very delicious pizza, but the inviting atmosphere and the above and beyond great service by Brian created the most enjoyable experience for us as guests of Buford, GA. The town is so adorable as well. It was lit up with Christmas lights. We highly recommend you stop here and we certainly trust you will be as lucky as us and have a memorable experience. I just hate we live so far or we would be regulars. Thank you...
