Read moreThis is my 3rd coffee shop this week and this one is in my back yard, downtown Buford. Tchin Tchin Coffee Roasters shop is in old Buford, occupying (maybe) an old filling station from 70s or 80s. They have renovated the spot and made it a rustic jewel. They even have garage doors to open in the Fall for an absolute wonderful coffee experience.
Now the star of the show is their coffee beans from all over the world but roasted right in Buford. Mane what a treat and nice touch. They have tons to buy and/or grind. They also provide daily specials, like today was a nice brew from Kenya.
I had a doppio or double espresso no water. Mane itâs strong, I had to add the whole packet of Truvia. Yeah this coffee ainât for the Dunkinâ crowd⊠this is the real deal, how Cubans & Italians like it.
The wife had an ice coffee that didnât hit the mark so she had to settle for a cappuccino. She too had to add multiple packs of Truvia because it was a strong drink.
Now my only complaint is the level expertise from the hostess. She wasnât real astute at the coffee game; it was more about selling the coffee as opposed to making sure your experience would create a repeat visit. This was our first visit but she didnât notice because again it was about the sell not the experience.
With that, I would still recommend because the young baristas cared about their drinks and how you felt. Now would I recommend over Amico Sugarloaf Mills or Lucky Goats in Flowery Branch⊠No! But this is a good coffee spot to chill and forget...
Read moreWe hope this message finds you well. Weâre ultra fans of your cafe and especially love the Blackberry Meadow Matcha Latteâitâs been one of our favorite treats and a big reason we keep coming back.
That said, weâve noticed the Blackberry Meadow Matcha Latte hasnât quite tasted the same lately. With the recent change in staff, it seems the new baristas may not be familiar with how it was originally made. Recently, the matcha has been quite grainy (likely not mixed thoroughly), the signature hint of purple foam from the blackberry syrup has been missing, and the drink has been noticeably less sweet. These subtle details really made the latte special, so we wanted to kindly share this feedback in hopes it can be passed along to the team.
We truly love Tchin Tchinâthe service, the ambience, and the convenience of having such a great cafe nearby. Weâre hoping this message reaches you and we are able to enjoy our favorite drink latte again soon!
Update: Came back to update and say that the way we remembered the blackberry meadow matcha latte is back! We went this past Friday 7/4/25 and a gentleman made our drinks. It was so delicious! Thank you so much for taking our feedback so well! We really...
