Waffle House — Restaurant in Buford

Went to order a To-Go. Went inside, because this WH NEVER answers the phone. The last time I went to order, the waitress took the phone off of the hook, in front of me. She said she was doing that because they'll try to call back ten times and she hates answering to-go orders. No one ever knows what they want and they talk to other people in the background. I was upset by this because when I call, I make sure that I am clear and straight to the point. But now I know why I can't ever get through...she will always take the phone off the hook.

I went in today. Same lady as the previous time. She was the only waitress in the place at 2pm on a Saturday. The place was packed and I noticed a family, and a gentleman were probably ahead of me to order. I waited for five minutes and she still had not taken their order. Then she finally looked at me and rudely said, "if you are trying to place a to go order, I cannot do that right now. I'm the only one working." I was embarrassed and looked around to see many people in the restaurant were staring at me. When I got in my car, I teared up from how I was addressed in front of a room full of people.

I drove to a different location and there were at LEAST 3 waitresses working. The were so kind and completely different than the lady at the other location (with the short hair).

I sent a complaint the last time I visited this WH when the lady told me how she takes the phone off the hook. I never heard back. Then this today. I frequent WH often, but will ABSOLUTELY never go back after today. I was mortified and felt like yall/she didn't even want my business. IMO this lady has got to go. If I could've given no stars, I would have. The last time I went to this particular Waffle House location, (which was a while ago because of this experience) the guy that took our order was clearly drunk, on drugs and/or stoned out of his mind, screwed up all three of the orders we had and we had to go to the only other guy there who was on the grill and get him to redo everything. The one on the grill fixed our orders, which were not very difficult in the first place, and made sure we had what we needed. I tipped him well because I appreciate it when people do their jobs. HOWEVER, one of my coworkers, who just so happens to be hispanic (NOT LIKE IT SHOULD MATTER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE ANYWAY IF YOU'RE HUNGRY), was there last night this happened: "Last night, I went to a Waffle House and I wasn't greeted nor sat down. I waited a couple minutes before choosing where to sit because all the tables were dirty but I sat down at a dirty table anyway. I sat there for a good 5 minutes without being attended (3 workers and my friend and me being the only people there) So, one of the worker finally says to her co-worker, "are you going to take them?" The other worker bluntly said no and mumbled some things. My friend and I could feel we were unwanted so we got up and left and all they said was "oh you guys are leaving, ok good." This is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!! Racist, drugged out workers? In case it isn't obvious, I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone and personally...

My mother my daughter and myself ate at this location this morning for breakfast. After we were seated the waitresses kept asking us if we were ready to order without even giving us our menu yet. She continued to stand asking if we were ready I said we are not ready yet can we have a moment. After a couple of minutes she returned and we ordered. She was not attentive to our table did not come back to offer refills of our drinks or anything else we might need such as jelly for my moms toast or Tabasco for my hashbrowns. The restaurant was not busy at this time. Another waitress had to actually refill our drinks and give us our condiments. She dropped off our ticket I placed it on top of the napkin box with my debit card. We were not finished eating so I was not going to pay the bill at that moment. She came by and took the ticket and card without saying anything. We gave her exactly 20% tip even if her service was well below good. We understand that's how they make there money. We finished our food and proceeded to finish a game of uno we started before the food arrived. She came to our table and said we are not allowed to play games at her table that she has to make money and we have to leave. We had not been in this restaurant long no longer than 30-40 minutes.
