I placed an order online for pickup. I arrived about 5 mins before the designated time. I walked in and there was one customer (guy) standing at the station where it appeared you would place a to-go order. There a woman up front who said she would be right with me (and the guy standing at the counter). She continued to seat maybe two or three groups that came in afterwards. When she disappeared, another younger guy came and took the order of the guy in front of me in the to-go area. They proceeded to have a full on conversation as if there was not another customer (me) who had been waiting for almost 5-7 mins at this point. Mind you the female server who was initially up front never came back. She just continued to look over in my direction with a smirk and say “I’ll be right with you.” She never came back. Another server(older guy) even came up and helped another group that came in behind me.
So, I sat down feeling some type of way because none of the servers seemingly wanted to help me. I wasn’t leaving without my order because I had already paid online. Then, an older woman and another young lady came to the front. They proceeded to ask the guy in front of me if he had been helped. Then, she looked and asked me if I had been helped. The young guy then seemingly took an interest in helping me. Mine you this is after about 10-12 minutes of me waiting and watching other patrons be serviced or helped. I told the guy I was there to pick up an order and gave him my last name. I guess he couldn’t tell what name was on orders and came back and ask if my order was under a different name. I then tried to show him my receipt on my phone. And finally, he figured it out and handed me my order.
I would just like the owners of this location to convey to their employees that every patron that walks thru their doors deserves to be treated with regard and respect. I wasn’t rude to the employees but felt they were rude to me in a covert manner. The younger guy even said to the patron who ordered in front of me that they hadn’t been busy this morning—yet I received what I feel was subpar service. I probably won’t visit this...
Read moreMaybe don't put the grumpy teenager front of house would be my advice! Slumped in the chair and arguing with staff she is very unprofessional. Not a polite word or greeting out of her. The lady who waited out table was lovely and funny but one gross factor also i had to ask for another cup as there was someone elses lipstick on it!!! However when we went to pay the teenager casher appeared to be having a heated debate with another server over a tip or something. The server said to the girl. Help those people and i will come back and we can sort it. The teen casher obviously very annoyed rolled her eyes and started shouting full volume across the whole restaurant angrily or the manager, Like a little child! I was shocked at her juvenile behavior. The manager came out from the back and both started discussing the issue loudly. Tge teen telling him she wasn't going to put up with whatever had been going on. . Mean while we are standing there waiting to pay watching all this for several minutes. We just wanted to pay and go. Nothing was said to us as the cashier was to busy speaking to other pol the whole time she didn't even look at us once. Just our receipt shoved in front of us. When my husband said to the manager maybe they should deal with issue somewhere else he just said he didn't see the problem. When we said we have been standing there and ignored he just shrugged and said sorry if you feel that way. If the manager is behaving like that how can the staff be expected to behave professionally. It was a huge turn off. We wont be back to this restaurant. Im not paying to be in the middle of staff disputes. Very unprofessional! One gross factor also i had to ask for another cup as there was someone elses...
Read moreAnother bad experience at IHOP. I asked questions about the ingredienta because I have allergies and sensitivities. If the questions had been answered, I could have avoided being sick 30 minutes later. At many IHOP restaurants there is a glutenfree menu but even if there isn't, I should be able to order eggs, sausage and hashbrowns or aome other optiin that is void of flour. Iasked about two menu items in particular. I asked, "Does this item have anything with flour added? ... such as gravy, sauce, pancake batter..." Rather than answer my specific question, the waitress just kept say that they do not have a glutenfree menu. I then asked if the eggs, sausage or hashbrowns had any flour added. She went to ask the cook. Instead of yes or no, I was told that they do not have a glutenfree menu and that they do not know what gluten even is. So I tried again to ask the simple question about the eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. They said they didn't add anything to those items so I opted for fruit inatead of pancakes and otherwise had eggs, hasbrowns and sausage. I began to eat but to my surprise there was some sort of sauce on the hash browns. I only got about a bite of that before avoiding the hash browns further. Still, I got sick. Yes I kbow I could have chosen not to eat there at all but why coukdnt they simply answer my questions AND follow my instructions to not add anything to the simple items of eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Its like they were just being stubborn and difficult......
