The Classic Steakhouse Experience — A Perfect Anniversary Dinner
My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of being the very first guests to enjoy “The Classic Steakhouse Experience” at The Range Steakhouse in Laughlin for our 1-year anniversary — and wow, what a way to celebrate.
We walked into an intimately lit, elegant dining room with a dress code that immediately set the tone for a special night. The atmosphere was classy without being stuffy. My wife enjoyed a few Cadillac Silver Patron margaritas (done right), while I kept it classic with cold Modelos.
This was a prepaid, preselected menu, so no decisions needed — just sit back, relax, and let the experience unfold. And in the Laughlin/Bullhead area, this is hands down the best service and dinner you’ll find.
Our server, Brandy, was incredible. Her genuine hospitality and confidence made the night feel personal and smooth. She was backed up by Ramona, who was quietly attentive and on point. We were even greeted by the chef, who was clearly passionate and excited to serve up something special — and it showed in every course.
The bread service had great variety, but things really kicked off with the appetizer trio: coconut shrimp with a Mae Ploy-style sauce, an avocado pillar, and asparagus wrapped in bacon with an unreal drizzle. Flavor and presentation were top-tier.
We then got a sorbet palate cleanser, followed by what was easily one of the highlights of the evening: table-side scratch Caesar salad. Brandy nailed it, putting on a show for the room while tossing up one of the best Caesars I’ve had.
Next came a choice between Beef Wellington or Lobster Wellington — we got one of each. Words don’t do them justice. Rich, perfectly cooked, and absolutely mind-blowing.
And to finish? Brandy’s table-side bananas foster. Flaming, sweet, warm — a perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
If you get the chance, bring your appetite and don’t miss this experience. It’s not just a dinner — it’s a night...

Once seated, waited fifteen minutes for the waiter, George, to show up to the table. Thankfully, the assistant server Glen brought some bread and water to keep us busy until George found time to stop by. Ordered the Valentines Day special, salad and beef medallions with king crab priced at $50 pp. Salad was acceptable but a smallish serving. When the entrees arrived it was about 3-4 oz of meat with about 2 oz of unidentifiable seafood and melted cheese on top. Not sure what the seafood was but it tasted fishy like old cod and we both sent the entrees promptly back to the kitchen. After we asked George to send the entrees back he gave up on us and Glen the assistant server was it, no more George for the rest of the evening for us. Glen asked us what we wanted in place of the bad entrees and we ordered the 20 oz porterhouse to share with the peppercorn sauce. It was again just acceptable and certainly not worth the $49 price tag. Oh and we ordered a bottle of wine with the meal, only on one occasion did the server(Glen) offer to top up our glasses for us, forcing one of us to get up and reach over to the ice bucket to get our wine every time we wanted a refill, not exactly fine dining at it's finest. So in the end it was a well below average fair to poor experience and we will not be returning anytime soon. Thank you Glen however for doing your best to make a bad...
Read moreStaff needs some retraining. They fixed mistakes and did take care of wine and dessert at the end so that's good on their part. They were also quite courteous once inside. Personally work in restaurants so I'm aware of what busy is. We went on mothers day so we expected a crowd. However there wasnt one. Even so we had to wait past our reservation time. Walking in we pass numerous empty tables. We stick with waters mostly and take a look over the menus taking a minute to decide and it took them some time to get back. Fine dining more slow and thoughtful service okay. A little drawn out for not having more then a few parties trickle in and out here and there and no one was in a rush with demanding tables. Prices are steep so were hoping for great food. One special, one glazed salmon, lobster mac, and a ribeye. Server brings the food and says heres your ribeye to one of us and we all kind of stare after he left. We stop a person and ask them what cut would you say that is? That's a New York strip. Okay so we're not crazy and we have it sent back and fixed. Kind of embarrassing for that server when he comes back and says sorry sometimes they look so similair to our cuts of ribeye. Not even close. His steak is good though and most of the food is cooked well. The salmon was dry and overcooked but I was far too hungry to care at that point. Dessert was awesome on top but the crust for the bottom was hard as rock. For the prices and the ambiance you expect far better. Hopefully they'll see it as potential learning...
