ACTUAL STAR RATING: 2.5 I think I finally understand the strategy of having a Smashburger at virtually every Caesar-owned (and other) hotels I go to. Even though the food is average at best, but generally subpar, many people order at this [and other] Smashburger stores out of sheer convenience. I guess if you're Smashburger selling high priced average to poor tasting food, it's a good marketing strategy. There's a constant turnover of customers in and out of the hotel. And because the stores are in-house and so much more convenient than getting in your car and driving to, let's say, In-N-Out Burger, they have a sizeable built-in clientele at times. I'm one of those built-in customers as well. I get sucked into the thought process of not wanting to get in the car, drive to a restaurant, get back into the car, drive back to the hotel, walk to the room, and finally get to eat what's now a cold meal. So I'm guilty of going to the in-house Smashburger and writing a negative review as I'm currently doing. But all is not lost. Since putting pen to paper (figuratively) is genuinely cathartic, just writing this helps me realize the added time taken to travel outside the hotel is worth it rather than pay double the price for a poor-tasting hamburger and fries. REVIEW AT A GLANCE RECOMMENDED: No SERVICE: Good to fair PRICE: $$$ in relation to outside burger shops. COVID: Practices pandemic regulations. PARKING: inconvenient and the point. REASON/INTENT: Fast food hamburgers

After arriving in Laughlin at Harrahs were hungry we called Smashburger to see if we could place an order over the phone. The gentleman that answered the phone placed us on hold we were on hold for 20 min we hung up the phone & went downstairs to Smashburger. The line was long, wait time was exactly 30 minutes. Food was under the light waiting to be served the food stayed under the light 15 minutes before being served. When we finally got to the cashier she realized the phone was off the hook, I told her good thing I hung up & came on down. Placed our order waited 25 minutes when I got my order my food was cold not some of it but all of it. Single cheeseburger, tator tots were cold. This was my first time visiting a Smashburger this was a terrible experience, I was so hungry I couldn't eat the food. The burger patty was so small I could have made a commercial asking where is the beef? I was so pissed I showed my food to the manager she apologized & refund my money.

I have never eaten at Smashburger. The reason I have never eaten there is after a 40 minute wait in line the cook came out from the back and said they would not take any more orders because they were out of “fries, tots, bacon, milkshakes, give me an hour and I can start taking orders again”. Seriously? After 40 minutes in line? This was your franchise in Harrah’s Casino in Laughlin Nevada. The franchise is making your brand look bad. Franchise owner needs to seriously address the crew. They should all be fired. My first visit to a Smashburger left a bad taste in my mouth….and I never got to eat anything. This is a follow up from yesterday’s review. Don’t bother sending the obligatory comment regarding your concern that everyone has a great experience. You can’t be that concerned. The following is how you stepped it up the next time I tried to get something.

Went to Smash Burger on my last Harrahs Casino Trip. It was late, I was done gambling for the evening, so I thought I would take a burger to go up to my room. I ordered after a decent wait, stepped back and waited. It was a few minutes plus 10, and the order after mine was served up with confusion, and another order of tater tots went out to this gentleman in the loud confusion, as my ticket with my prepared hamburger sat on the counter. My tater tots, I assume just went to the man with a gripe. Meanwhile, 4 minutes elapsed and an half full cup of something comes up by my hamburger. The waitress looked in it, frowned and pushed something down in it, and bagged it, and handed it to me. I said thank you, and went back to my room on the 12th floor. The elevator wait was formidable. I opened the bag, and the hamburger was decent . but the tots....were broken and VERY grease soaked. There was black particles globbed down the inside of the box, like sludge from the bottom of the fryer. I was going to go back down and complain, but they were busy, the elevators were backed up, and I didnt feel like wading through the Biker/Brooks and Dunn crowd in the casino. it was just a greasy mess. I guess the cook and the waitress thought this was ok, but they should have apologized and recooked the tots....

Horrible treatment of their customers! Eric Chavez was extremely rude and condescending to me. He was the acting manager today and would not even attempt to be nice.

I was in line and after 20 minutes of no movement I decided to order online. I stayed standing in line because I needed to wait anyway. When I was up in line to order I told Eric that I had ordered it online and after 30 minutes in line it should be done. His response was, "oh, I haven't even put in online orders!" I waited and watched him type my order into the computer 15 minutes later! The customers in line after me were getting their orders and I waited....for 1 hour!

We asked Eric to kindly remove the extra charges that I incurred to place an online order or to please add some extra tator tots to compensate for the extra long wait. His response was "no, MAM, I can't!" I said, "You CAN'T or you WON'T?"

He said "I wont! Everybody is waiting...MAM!" He didn't care that we were upset. He didn't care that we were long time customers. He didn't care that I would write a bad review. He only cared about being ignorant.

On our way out many other customers gave me a thumbs up and told me that they were also discussed with what they saw and the slow service and would also be writing a review. Maybe Eric...
