My husband and I went to this restaurant on our way home at the Burbank airport. we had a waitress named McKenna. When we got to the restaurant, there was nobody up front. We waited there for about 10 minutes and nobody came so we started looking around to see if there were any signs that said if we seat ourselves or we needed to wait to be seated. Since there were no signs to be seen, so we went and sat down at a table. All the tables have QR codes to get the menu so we figured that also pointed at seating ourselves. We sat at the table for about 10 minutes or so and finally the waitress, McKenna, came over and pushed the menus at us and rudely asks us, “if we just came in here and sat down or someone sat us here”. When we told her there was no one upfront and there were no signs, after 10 minutes we decided to just seat ourselves. . She then rudely says, “is this how you behave when you go to an Olive Garden! you just walk in like you own the place and just sit wherever you want!” After a few more rude comments out of her mouth, we decided to just get up and leave. After leaving, I was still really upset so I went back and asked her if there was a manager there and she told us there was no manager so I asked her for her name and left again. Being still pretty upset I went back in and asked her to get me anybody but her to talk to at that time. (this time when we come in, we hear her over talking to another customer at a table, telling them how we Think we are better than everybody else and just walk into a restaurant and sit down and do whatever we want) Finally, another employee that was working, went and got someone for us. She was very nice and went above and beyond . She ended up getting our snacks at another stand in the airport. I really really appreciated the last lady and her help. As I was almost in tears from the other lady. I really hope that this restaurant does something about the behavior of McKenna and hire more employees like the one that we dealt with at the end. I really wish I would’ve...
Read moreThis was the only restaurant option available when we flew out of Burbank last Thursday. The front seating area was chaotic, and due to sensory reasons that I shouldn’t have to explain we asked the hostess to seat us in the back, rather then the table she first tried to seat us at that was WAY too close to another table and in the direct path of the kitchen (a high traffic area). She said “yes,” and began to seat us. Before we could sit down we were interrupted by a server in the back who frustratingly yelled, asking if we had other people joining us. We did not, so he said we couldn’t sit there, explaining he needed to save the four top for a larger group. BTW: a larger group never came and that table remained empty the entire time we were there. I asked if we could sit in the corner at a two top. He reluctantly allowed it. When he took our order, he was visibly annoyed that I ordered water to drink. My son had ordered a soda, and really, it shouldn’t matter to him what I drink. I felt VERY unwelcome, which made the extremely high price of the food hurt that much more. I get that he wants to make as much money as possible. Who doesn’t? But to be rude to the customers in the process is really counter productive. I regret that I tipped him. I regret ever stepping foot in that place. My $20+ BLT tasted good, but it definitely wasn’t worth being treated as if I was a burden. I paid $60+ for a light lunch and a side of contempt for two people....
Read moreMy review would possibly have been better If I could have actually been able to get my food. First of all no airport employee discount, not good, as it is almost the standard at most airport food and retail establishments, anywhere in the country. Like I said almost. I ordered the standard cheeseburger, regular with everything on it. The last two digits on my ticket (that were circled by the way) were 13. 13 must be a truly unlucky number, especially at to his burger joint. After waiting for 15 minutes and then hearing order 14 and 15 called up for pickup from the counter. I asked if my order was ready. I was told it was comming right up by the cashier. 5 minutes later and one other order, that wasn't mine was put up on the couter. Lucky number 13 still had been called out or placed on the pick up counter. I could not wait any longer as I was on a lunch break. I asked for a refund and told the cashier that I couldn't wait any longer. Right as he was refunding my money, I hear "Number 13". The cashier told me it was ready. At that point being a little perterbed at the situation, I said "Just give me my money back". After all that they should have just given me the burger for free as a public relations gesture. I will never go there again and will tell all who are thinking about eating there to bring your dollars as it is it definitely overpriced. Also I will tell them bring a book to read, as you will be...
