This was my second time coming here. I wanted to try the doner . I have not had a true doner kebob since I went to Istanbul. The first time I went I ordered a doner and it was tasty but still did not remind me of when I went to Istanbul because it was missing the fries. When I was leaving the Kebob Shop I looked at the Menu again and realized they have a Doner called the San Diego with fries in it. I tried that on my second visit and wow, it was delicious, juicy, and had the nice crispy fries. I have not tried the other dishes but I’m giving five stars for the doner. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and there is plenty of parking with little wait while ordering. It’s not a fancy sit down restaurant but a small business for dine in or take out. My family and I have made this our go to for doner kebob.

I recently visited TKS in Encino and was underwhelmed by the lamb and rice dish, so I left a review on Google expressing my disappointment. Their team reached out to me, asking for another chance to impress me, and generously offered a coupon. I decided to visit their Burbank location, and I'm glad I did. I opted for the chicken and beef kebab, and while the chicken was slightly dry, the flavors were delightful. The rice was much more flavorful compared to their Encino location, and the staff seemed more enthusiastic. Their spicy hummus is absolutely delicious, and their sauce station, which is free, is one of the best in town. Needless to say, I'll definitely be returning!

TKS in Burbank earns a solid four stars. Their sauce game is seriously strong, flavorful, bold, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The food portions are generous, and the plates are loaded, which is always appreciated. However, the overall flavor profile feels more generic than truly Mediterranean. If you’re expecting authentic spices or traditional depth, you might be a bit underwhelmed. Also, the chairs are surprisingly uncomfortable for dine-in, it’s not a place you’ll want to linger. Still, it’s a good spot for a quick, satisfying meal with standout sauces that elevate the experience.

Thus was my first experience at any TKS. I was greeted by Sean at the front. When he heard that it was my first time, he was patient, friendly and provided a rundown of the menu options.

I ordered the plate with grilled steak, fire hummus and a Greek salad. I really wanted to try the lamb so I ordered a side of that too.

When my order was ready, the chef, Mike was very friendly.

I tried the spicy cilantro and the garlic yogurt sauce. Since I already had the spicy hummus, I didn't want the spicy chili sauce. Both of them were really good. I eat out a lot and almost all of the restaurants are really cracking down by charging for sauces and dressings. This place didn't do that. Another plus!

Both meats were very tender and tasty. I like the fact that Sean asked how well I wanted the steak cooked. I was never given that option when ordering steak at other Mediterranean restaurants.

Before I finished my meal, I saw Sean go to each customer table to make sure that everything was ok. This was a touch more like a fancier restaurant than a fast food chain. I could tell that the other customers appreciated his concern. This was a very nice touch.

All in all, I am a big fan of this location in Burbank. I will surely be back.

I won't be able to come as often as I would like due to the economy, but you do get very generous portions for the amount charged. I saw a few others get the wrap, and they were huge!

Also, I came close to closing and unlike other restaurants, they did not chase me out of the door. Much appreciated.

Edit/Update: 7/11/2024 I have now been coming back regularly ever since I wrote my initial review. My only complaint is that the sauces get taken away to the back room hours before they close. While you still can get sauce from the counter, it is in the really small cups so I have to get a whole bunch. This is somewhat embarrassing and it is really a waste of plastic. When the sauces are available by the soda machine, I can just pump it onto my plate and not have to waste so much plastic.

The other issue is that while I understand the want for customers to use the self ordering screen, it does not allow the input of the rewards points number (or allow the ability to redeem accumulated points). It also does not allow any specialty comments like "no Feta" or make the steak medium rare... Therefore it is...

I wanted to pick up something for my sister when she landed at the Burbank Airport (which was 10 minutes away) and I saw this shop was nearby. I came here near the evening and it wasn't busy. In fact, the shop was already cleaning up an hour before closing because there wasn't any customers.

The staff was super friendly and helped me place my order. We got three plates and 2 desserts for take-out.

I was shocked by the portions they provided us, but I was told since they were about to close-- they usually don't give this much. We honestly appreciated it very much since the portions lasted us for 2 days (I had it today for lunch & dinner as well).

I tried the carved lamb beef, and the slices were thin but plentiful. The seasoning wasn't too strong but when mixed with the Kale Quinoa salad-- it was sooo bomb! I'm obsessed with the flavoring of the Kale Quinoa salad, and the texture was nice. Never knew healthy could taste this good.

The Spicy Hummus Pita is also very delicious. The dip they provided had a nice spicy taste but not overwhelming spicy. The pita bread was soo soft.

The dessert we got was the baklava and I regret not getting more of this. It was soooo good, and had this nice crispy sound when biting into it. It wasn't crazy sweet and you could taste the sweet honey. I definitely need to go back and get more of this.

The only con was the falafel... it was sooo hard when biting into it. The staff seem to have overcooked it because I pried open and the inside was soft. It was only the outer crust that...

It’s so refreshing to discover a Middle Eastern-owned restaurant serving authentic Mediterranean cuisine. They offer both halal and vegetarian options, which is great for those with dietary restrictions.

Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful and fresh. To highlight a few standouts: the saffron rice was aromatic and perfectly cooked, the lamb and beef were spiced to perfection, the chicken shawarma was juicy and tender, the vegetables had a nice crunch and were perfectly chilled, and the bread in the wrap was soft and tasted freshly made.

The service was exceptional; the staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the food stations were neat and organized.

This place has definitely become my husband and I’s go-to spot for healthy, delicious, and flavorful meals....
