Bennett's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Burlington

I was here waiting in line to pick up my food. The man in front of me was Spanish speaking only, and the worker at the register screamed at him and made a huge spectacle, causing the entire restaurant to stare. I understand food service is difficult, but my heart broke for the man who was being screamed at in a language he did not understand. I don’t think there is ever a good reason to yell at people, especially in public, and especially when the person is clearly not understanding you.

Edit: the reason he got screamed at was because the worker was asking him to “verify or display the order” on his phone and he didn’t understand, so the customer asked for clarification, causing the worker...

I was guided by the good reviews to try this place, but my experience was awful. The dining environment can’t be called clean. I found a dead fly in the corner, and a few more fruit-fly type of things alive flying around. The staff was rude, she started cleaning the floor underneath our table when we were still eating (I could give negative star for the service)! Chris working the front was incredible! I ordered buffalo tenders and a root beer right before close. As a former member of the restaurant and food service community I understand that orders right before close don't always get treated with the same care. The food was hot and delicious. If you buy the glass bottles of root beer though mind the caps. The diet ones are WHITE.
