China Wok — Restaurant in Burlington

I hate to have to do this to those of you that enjoy eating Chinese on lunch, but after this experience I feel the need to share with you. My mother and I went to China Wok in Hebron Kentucky today August 24th 2017, on my lunch and she was charged the same price for her water as I was for my soda/pop. When I asked the girl at the front desk about it, she was very rude and said it is the price as a soda. I did let her know that no other restaurant in the world charges for water unless it is bottled, her response very rudely I might add again was “it’s the same price” as she slammed her hand down on the counter. While speaking with her I took a glance into the kitchen and I noticed that the gentleman, who was preparing food, was using the GARBAGE CAN with a piece of wood over it to prepare the raw chicken bare handed no gloves. I will never eat at this establishment again and I will be contacting the health department, because it is not ok to handle food bare handed or over a garbage can. I just felt you should all know to help prevent anyone getting food poisoning or any kind of food...

I drive completely out of the way to eat Chinese food here. I order the General Tso's chicken. The waitress asked me if I wanted Fried or White Rice. I replied back Fried is fine. My bill comes out and there's an extra charge for $1.75 for an item. I asked what this was about, and she said the dinners come with White Rice ONLY and I ordered Fried. I replied back that you asked me what type of RICE I wanted like it was part of the MEAL. She says Oh No. Fried cost more money to make because it's fried with vegetables. Whhhhhhhhat???? I had 3 or 4 peas and 4 - 5 lil chunks of frozen carrots in the rice....... The only reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1 is because the lil kid hustled and brought my food out. I would not recommend this...

Lack of customer service, flavor and any sense of what Chinese food is. Every dish ordered tastes like washed out vegetables. They're "kung pow" chicken consists of a raw Mire poix and mixed nuts with a soy sauce packet. Sechuan chicken was undercooked with a bland array of undercooked veggies. And the egg roll was a crisp egg roll with cold cabbage in the middle. No sauces or cutlery added to bag to atleast mask the lack of skill in kitchen and upon return for exchange or refund you will be greeted with a strong NO. Won't be back, ever. Don't get me started on the yellow rice...
