UPDATED AGAIN: HUGE IMPROVEMENTS MADE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I placed a pickup order through Door Dash, and the young lady that assisted me was very sweet and helpful. She made a very helpful suggestion. I usually have orders delivered from here because I still love the food, but have been reluctant to go back after my previous experience. After my visit tonight, my love for Delancy's has been reestablished. I only wish I'd gotten her name! They better hang on to her! GREAT customer service!

UPDATED REVIEW: CUSTOMER CARE LACKING!!! Apparently, the pandemic has greatly affected the customer service at this establishment. I called to place a to go order at 1:20 and was put on hold for 30 minutes. I stayed on hold just to see how long it took them to realize they had forgotten the costumer they put on hold. I went and got gas, sat through road construction traffic, and drove through a drive thru to get lunch, all while I was left "on hold". I called back once I got back to the office to ensure that they are indeed still offering take out as an option. They are, IF and only IF you can get someone on the phone.They obviously do not have a system that rings back when you're put "on hold". I don't recommend it if you're on a timeline. Will not be trying them again for a to-go order on my lunch break. This makes me sad, as it was once a terrific place for a lunch option.

Great food, great prices, good service. I've been going here for years. It's a nice place to find a good home style meal. I've liked most everything I've tried here. The desserts are on point as well. One of my favorites that's hard to find elsewhere is Brownstone Front...

This was the worst food I have ever had!!! My wife and I met here for lunch. We had both had heard good things about their food, makes me question peoples judgement. My wife ordered the Country Fried Steak with Collards and Fried Okra. I ordered the Chicken Pie with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. The food arrived COLD, not warm but COLD!! The gravy on the Country Fried Steak was congealed, that cold. The Greens aside from being cold had no seasoning and were swimming in their juice. The Okra was cold and setting in its own grease. My Chicken Pie? if you can call a can of cream of chicken soup and 3 tiny dry biscuits chicken pie was cool, not cold like the other food. The mashed Potatoes (cold) were instant potatoes and the gravy was congealed. The Green Beans were cold and had zero seasoning. I have no idea how this place remains open. As a first time customer nobody instructed us on how to order....You have to order at a counter (and they have the audacity to ask if you would like to leave a tip, for what I had to get my own drink) and they bring you your food. The food was horrible, I can not stress that enough. Lunch for two people was $25.65, portions for the sides were extremely small. OUTRAGEOUS!! I’m so upset. We have a large family so don’t go out to eat too often. But this place is always a hit. Not tonight. We spent $76 on food. And barely ate anything. I brought the chicken pie that i ordered home for my dog. It didn’t have a bit of seasoning (i put salt and pepper on it), and i kept trying to figure out what it tasted like.. when it hit me; it tastes just like canned cream of chicken soup. Basically it was cream of chicken soup, with these pastry/boiled chicken medallions on top. My youngest kids got pasta salad, which they didn’t eat because it was basically boiled noodles with a cucumber taste. No dressing or seasoning. No seasoning on the mashed potatoes. I’m not sure what they were trying to pass as cornbread.. but it wasn’t cornbread. The broccoli casserole, fried squash, chicken tenders and hot chips were the only edible foods out of all 6 meals we ordered. The pecan pie wasn’t good. The chocolate cake was decent. And the brownstone front cake was really good. The lady behind us got a refund for her chicken because she couldn’t even cut it. We even asked if they had new owners.
