Lucky Star Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Burlington

I cannot recommend Lucky Star enough. They have amazing food, drinks, and an awesome atmosphere. The best part about this establishment though is the people. My family and I have eaten here multiple times and there is always friendly service. The waitstaff is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a friendly face and it just gets better from there!

We liked the place so much we decided to inquire about having them cater our wedding. That was one of the best choices we made during our planning. Huge shout out to one person in particular and that is Travis. Travis was so welcoming from the second we met him. We had a few tastings with other companies and this one blew it out of the water. It was the best food and also the best service bar none. Travis took the time to sit with us and listen to what we envisioned for our day. It was an easy choice to go with Lucky Star and a huge part of that is Travis.

Any questions or concerns that came up, he would be there with an answer or solution. It's evident that Travis cares about the food he is serving, but it goes beyond that. He truly cares about his customers. I have no doubt in my mind that anyone is in good hands if they are working with Travis.

Unfortunately, we had to postpone our large celebration due to Covid. We decided to have an intimate, backyard wedding with our family on our original wedding date. We still wanted to have Lucky Star cater our small event. Travis was understanding of the situation and went above and beyond to cater our small get together. Everything was perfect. The food was phenomenal and our family was really impressed. Nobody went hungry and we had plenty of leftovers. He and his staff worked diligently with us throughout this difficult time.

I cannot emphasize enough how lucky you would be to have Lucky Star and Travis cater any of your needs, big or small. If you do not have events coming up, I urge you to go and check out this restaurant. Stop by for a meal or just to grab a drink at the bar. Now more than ever local businesses need our help. We had a great breakfast as lunch at the Lucky Star Pub & Eatery while we were in the area. One of the first things I should mention is that they have a check in deal through Yelp at the time I'm writing this for a free Fried Ice Cream with check in. That's right, I got that awesome looking dessert in the picture for free just because I checked in when I got to the location! Lemoncello cake I got as well since I love lemoncello to try it out too. Between the two desserts it was more than enough for my wife and I to split the two between us, and we thought both were great. I don't normally start with dessert but when it's free with check in it has to be highlighted! Now to the start, we were able to get right in and at that time we were offered breakfast, lunch, or both menus during the lunch hour. We looked both over but ultimately went with having "breakfast" foods for lunch. The Coal Miner and Hungry Man selected as our choices and we really didn't wait a long time for our food to come out at all. Everything was good and the portion sizes proved to be more than enough to satisfy. Pancakes are good and the sausage gravy biscuits got a nod as well being pretty good. Service was good throughout our visit with us being checked on regularly and as mentioned the food came out quick. This was the first time visiting this establishment, the staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. I went with my business partner , who has been there before. He recommended the Bourbon Street Burger, so I order it ( medium ) and it came out Medium well. Also ordered some mozzarella sticks and those came out cold and not even done. The waitress (Wendy) seen that burger was wrong and had them make a new one, and had the manager (Julie) come over and look at the first one. She also seen the mozzarella sticks. The Manager had the kitchen redo the order and didn't bring it back out until they were right. The decor needs to be updated, the heat/ac needs fixed.

UPDATE: Came back in a couple weeks later and ordered another burger, this time I ordered it Mid-rare that way when I got it it should be med, everything came out better this time.

Will give it one more try. Stay tuned.

UPDATE 2: After going back a couple times the wait staff has been awesome, but the food quality has gone downhill. Food is coming out overcooked or burnt to where not edible. The management can only do so much, it now falls on the ownership and IMO the owners seem like they don't care. You would think that if your food cost keep going up you would check into why. With only 2 big restaurants in town you would think they would be decent.
