Today, Saturday 8/16/25 I went to Mayberry Restaurant & Ice cream in Burlington NC.........They were quite busy, but was promptly ask what did I want , so I had seen Keith earlier at the grocery store that morning, he is a friend of my daughters. We spoke and he always ask how am I doing.......then we were checking out at the same time, he told me to come by later in the day to get some ice cream....So I told him that I was diabetic & he said they had sugar free butter pecan , I said ok thats my favorite!! I went in about 2 :00, sat down to eat it & OH how good it was. Most people had left, and at the table next to me was an older man trying to get up ,he had a cane but was struggling a bit, so Gary helper him up to his feet & helper him to the door, also Keith went and got his car, brought it to the door and off he went. I also had my cane , and Keith held the door for me.......I thanked him for helping me & the other man....He said no problem thats what we do here. So thank you again for your compassion in helping us older folks ,cause we often get over looked in this fast paced time. I will say a prayer for us all, cause Jesus gets us,all of us..........thank you again ...
Read moreI took my friend to this restaurant in Burlington yesterday 2/28/25 she ordered a peanut butter shake and I ordered a chocolate shake. The woman that prepared our shakes was not wearing any gloves, seemed to have the sniffles, used hand sanitizer to clean her hands then washed her hands with water and no soap. Then she smelled our drinks before she finished fixing them!!! My friend and I should have just walked out without the shakes, however, we decided we would at least try them. I even left $5.00 in tip!! We walked into the parking lot, took one sip, sat the nasty tasting shakes on the ground near their door and left!!! That was a waste of money for sure! No customer service, no smile, freezer burnt ice cream, we definitely will not be a return costumer!!! I thought about going back in and confront them, however, I decided it was really not worth the effort due to the fact that none of the staff seemed to even care about their customers or the place of business!!! And these were older staff members not young adults!! Very sad to see how people just do not care anymore about anything!! I would close this place down if I was in charge of...
Read moreI believe there may have been a new person on crew but regardless, the service just felt weird, like, “I don’t know how much you even like your job” weird. I speak with a thin voice so I’m difficult to hear at times but I tried to order the mushroom and Swiss with bacon added TWICE! And both times my order had no bacon and the first order didn’t even have seasoning on the fries after I SPECIFICALLY ASKED! Overall I was treated like a problem more than a customer with several eye rolls and attituded responses added. But this is only from the Older lady and Redhead.
