The Park Restaurant — Restaurant in Burlington

Really shocked at the level of customer service provided. Called in a takeout order for a regular sized park salad with chicken and was told the salad came with chicken on the salad. Cool. So I show up, pay for my order, and leave. Once I get back to work, I notice they gave me a small "park salad" with no chicken in a side salad to go box. After returning to the restaurant to get my correct order, I was then told none of their salads come with chicken, unless requested. So I tried politely telling the younger female cashier that I did request a regular sized, park salad with chicken, not a side salad...... She then argued with me and showed me my receipt which showed I paid for a side salad. Okay... but thats not what I wanted or ordered? The manager gets involved and then tells me I would just have to pay the difference. LOL, really guys?. Honestly not even upset about not getting the salad, its just the way things were handled. There is clear miscommunication about the menu between the staff, and the young female cashier rolled her eyes and smirked at me when I was just confused what was going on.... No apologies, nothing. Yet I was still asked to pay the difference after paying $6 for a side salad, when I didn't even order that in the first place and literally drove back to the restaurant? I understand mistakes happen, but do not disrespect me. This place use to be the go to for good food and always had good customer service but after the way things were handled today, I do not think me or my family will be returning. Do...

I have been wanting to stop here for years and finally convinced my husband. Needless to say, we won’t be back. Service was terrible!! We were ignored by our waitress for over 15 minutes after being seated. She took two other orders from tables seated well after we were. We had to flag one of the four other staff members down who were just standing around chatting just to ask if we were ever going to get a waitress. She was kind enough to apologize and get us some drinks while we waited another 10 minutes before our assigned waitress showed up. Once we finally got our order in and our food came half my food was cold and had someone’s hair in it. It took forever to flag down our waitress, who never returned to the table with the condiments I asked for, to barely ask if I wanted a replacement waffle. She also never checked if we needed refills on our empty drinks. At that point the rest of my family was done eating so I declined. She only took $2 off our $45 order which didn’t cover the cost of the waffle that I took two bites of before finding the hair in the butter. Needless to say the service was so bad that we won’t be back especially since we drove 45 minutes just to eat at The Park. I will say that what I was able to eat was fairly good and my family did like what they received. Stopped here for lunch today with my toddler, husband (who was in uniform) and my mother. We placed our order quickly then the waitress never stopped to check on us even when our drinks were empty. 50 minutes later when the table next to us that got seated after us got their food, I flagged down the person that brought the food and asked where our food was. Another woman, not our waitress, came to tell us our waitress never submitted our order and they just submitted it. After 50 minutes of waiting she didn't even order to rush our food. We asked for it to go and finally the waitress came to apologize. We felt this was intentional because the waitress never made eye contact with us and ignored us. This place is not friendly toward law enforcement and service was awful. Somehow my toddler was still happy but only because we brought Cheerios.
