Skids II Burlington — Restaurant in Burlington

Although the food is decent the restaurant is nasty and some staff are very unfriendly/not concerned about customer service at all!! They are open until “9 pm” but if you walk in at 8:36 the staff isn’t happy. My husband & I thought they asked us if we had a to go order & when we said “no, we came to eat because you’re open to 9 pm”. We then proceeded to seat ourselves. Upon leaving at 8:52 pm we were informed that sometimes they close early & I commented that we got lucky that tonight wasn’t one of those nights. One of the cooks then proceeds to tell me I “bullied my way in”!!!! Really? I would never “bully” my way in!!! Most businesses are happy to have customers but NOT Skids if you come too close to their closing time!! I will never return as a customer. After the cook called me a “bully” I informed him I would never be back & he said he didn’t care. I guess they have enough customers so losing my biz won’t kill them. What may concern him more are my contacts and influence with the restaurant inspectors at the Alamance County Health...

A great place for a high quality meals a pretty good price and a great quality service in a friendly environment. The owner is a great guy and has always worked very hard on keeping the customers coming back with great food, service, and atmosphere. They have the best cheese burger in town bar none. Their baskets are a great price for a great meal. They also have a great line up of salads and grill chicken for a affordable price. Great for lunch or dinner and a great selection of food and even pizza. This is a must try place if you're in the Burlington NC area. It is an older diner. Some people have complained about the brick and blinds. Well it is true they could use a bit of cleaning and some refreshing I wouldn’t let that detract from the institution. I was treated well immediately and greeted with a smile. There was a steady stream of clientele. Conversations in here were reminiscent of any local hangout where everyone seems to know everyone. The food came out promptly. Fries were hot and fresh and krinkly. The burger was delightful. The ice in the drink was the really awesome small crunchy kind.
