About a week ago on a recommendation from a friend of mine who used live in Sacramento. I used to live in San Bernardino, California,.a city with a heavy Mexican population. I KNOW what AUTHENTIC Mexican food tastes, like as,does my friend from Sacramento. I was psychiced up to have Mexican food taste as it does,in my home state! What a,disaster!!! I ordered Enchiladas with beans and rice. I might as,well have bought frozen food at the store. The meat in the Enchiladas was tasteless and didn't have a touch of chili powder in it. They were the size of taquitoes and were covered in this LAME CHILI SAUCE INSTEAD OF ENCHALADA SAUCE. The ric3 wasn't Spanish rice as,it should be. The refried, beans, weren't cooked in lard which gives them extra flavor. Absolutely a tasteless meal and a complete waste of money and time. Even the salsa resembled water with red food colering، no onions and no cilantro in it it. Completely disgusting!!! A atmosphere was noisey with kids running around the place or crying, I was crying too over the food which was ridiculous. Back to Walmart I go to get...
Read moreThe la Fiesta on church st has been my favorite place for the past few years. Recently the service has suffered, and today I went there to eat and got horrible service. I ordered queso and some other food. Queso took a long time. Got my water but not the soda I ordered. Then the soda came and no straw. ..and so on. A side of rice came out before my queso rod and got cold sitting on the table. My waitress barely acknowledged me. My food came (several sides) and she acted surprised when i said I’d like a plate to eat my food on and maybe my rice warmed up.
She got my plate and instead of just dropping it off so I could eat she started taking another order at the bar…so I’m sitting there with cold rice because it came before I even got the queso (my app) …I guess she thought because I ordered sides she would not make any money. Im a former waitress and tip well. I left and went to the la Cocina where I got really incredible service.and no bad attitude, and food was fast and great. My bill was 18.18 and I tipped 7 dollars ..my waiter...
Read moreSince we moved to Reidsville. We have been adventuring to surrounding areas to find another mexican restaurant home. Im hopeful we have found one in La Fiesta. At every restaurant stop i look to try their version of authentic. So i grabbed street tacos as a side and their chicken soup. Today as any other i did just that. Out of the 4 of 5 restaurants weve went to in the past year. Their chciken soup was the most flavorful. Often times i find it very bland like chicken in water with no taste. But today god was on my side. I loved it. I ordered 3 chicken street style tacos as a side to dip in the broth and they to were on point . They did have flour tortillas instead of my usual corn . But the chicken on the tacos was moist and had good flavor as well. Usually i find it dry. I dont leave many reveiws but i hope nothing changes about this place . The staff is young and energetic . Theyre friendly and smiling . It was really refreshing for us to have our weekly day date here today. A huge Thankyou...
