Pressed Cafe — Restaurant in Burlington

My coworkers and I, have ordered from this place a hand full of times, and every time we have ordered from this location, we are always missing a sandwich, or a drink. We always say the food is good so lets try it one more time. But tonight was the last time we will be ordering from this location. My coworkers and I, called and ordered food for pick up. I went in to pick up the food that we had ordered. First when I walked in, I waited at the counter for about five minutes before anyone even noticed I was there. When there were multiple of people behind the register. Then someone finally came over to see what I needed. The younger women who greeted me was not friendly at all, she asked what I needed I told her I had an order for pick up. She grabbed the order handed it to me, didn't read back what I was picking up, or even ask me if I had everything. I nicely asked is this everything in the bag I ordered and she said yes. Then I asked for a receipt and was not given a receipt. She then walked away, and I had to ask someone else for the receipt. When I did get back to work, my co worker noticed that she was missing her smoothie. We called pressed and explained the situation and they said you can come pick it up. Not apologetic at all, after we spent over $70. All we wanted was a refund for the smoothie, because we were not able to leave our job and go pick up the drink. The staff was making it very difficult to give us a refund. We did express that this happens all the time when we order from your location. They did not express concern or handle this situation well at all. Sincerely, not a happy customer and will not be ordering from this...

I always love what I get from here, but honestly just experienced the worst customer service after being given the WRONG ITEM. I have gotten the Caesar wrap before, and it has NEVER come pressed, or with whole pieces of chicken breast inside. I took one look at the sandwich and immediately brought it back to get a new one because it was not how I had wanted it. I knew I could not eat a hot Caesar salad…… I kindly explained that I was not aware the Caesar wrap came pressed, and I’d like it remade, as I’d gotten it cold many times before when picking up online orders. The guy at the counter was apologetic, but told me that “My manager probably won’t remake it, I’m sorry.” Another girl chimed in and said, “Oh, you can just put it in your fridge!” While I appreciate these young kids trying to make light of the situation, I was frustrated because I wasn’t going to eat this sandwich. I asked the cashier to speak to the manager about getting a new wrap made, COLD, because it’s a Caesar salad wrap, which I didn’t think was a big deal. Manager didn’t even come over to address me directly, and said that no, I could not have a new wrap made. I then asked for a new sandwich AND HAD TO PAY AGAIN. I work in food service and I’m absolutely embarrassed at what some people are saying/doing to their guests. I’m sorry but that’s just ridiculous. I didn’t think that bringing something back to be remade would be a big deal…… It’s salad. On a wrap. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I knew this would have been...

I was so happy to find a place with so many healthy choices . I got the veggie burrito and vegan beet juice and my husband got the meat lovers burrito, and the iced coffee. The prices were a little high, but that is to be expected with quality food. The burritos were quite generous (pretty close to the size of a small sub--very filling). The beet juice was a little disappointing, since it was bottled, not made to order. It was also very watery, even though water is not an ingredient. So I probably won't get that again. However, the burritos were great. They mixed up our order by labeling them wrong, (I had no cheese). My husband accidentally enjoyed my burrito before realizing they were marked wrong. They were very good about correcting the mistake and gave us both fresh burritos. He said the iced coffee was good/strong and not overly watered down with ice. We will likely go back and try some other menu options. All in all, happy with the food and service.

Update 7/11/19: We went back for another try, this time we dined in. I got a custom ordered bagel sandwich, and my husband got a ham and turkey panini and iced coffee. Service was fast. We loved our food. The bagel sandwich was delicious! My husband said the panini was well worth the price. It came with a side of potato salad that he said was also delicious. I think we have found a new favorite...
