Newbury Comics — Local services in Burlington

A special thank you to Wally, the animated, up-beat force of a loyal clerk who always makes my shopping experience an outstanding one. Also, thank you to Josh (aka cashier 12296, I apologize if I'm not recalling your name correctly) for your enthusiasm and mutual love of South Park Monopoly. I've been a customer of Newbury Comics since it was across the street from the mall, its former location now an outdoors apparel and accessories retail store. Out of the many generations of memorable staff, you guys have to be hands down two of the best employees. Although the items have shifted from the rows of comics, collectible figurines, CDs and DVDs/Blu-Rays to usher back in vinyl and now cassette tapes, plus more wearables than t-shirts, knickknack gifts and gags, blind boxes and bobbleheads and expanded into housewares, I still love your store. Of course it’s nothing like it was but that’s only because it couldn’t be and still survive. They’ve got more music to look through than anywhere else besides an actual specialized record store & everything else they have is still fun as hell. Long live Newbury Comics I hope they stay open forever. Not easy being as small as they are and still surviving this day & age. In MALLS no less. (I don’t know how much business they do online but I can’t see it being that much.) One if not THE last place I actually care about that still has physical locations. ...

In 2021 I wonder why anyone still goes here, please support your local comic shop for comics, everything else is overpriced and can be purchased from others site at a fraction of the price, want to buy your little one some pokemon cards? can't find then anywhere? can only afford the msrp price that the manufacturer suggested? well this isn't the place for you, cards are significantly marked up, prices are lower from scalpers online than buying instore from newbury comics.
