Just passing through Burlington for a day! Vivid Coffee has a great vibe inside, the baristas were friendly and professional, and the interior is designed beautifully with lots of seating arrangements for people to sit and read, chat, study etc. Didn’t try anything but the coffee, but the food and other drinks looked yummy!
We really wanted to have a great experience here, and everything seemed really perfect except for that the shots in our lattes were extremely under extracted and sour tasting. I couldn’t tell if it was also under-roasted or maybe the milk was on its way out, because the latte art was beautiful, milk neatly foamed, and it seemed like the over all craftsmanship of the drinks was high quality.. but that espresso was so unpleasantly tangy and left an extremely off putting taste in our mouths for a long time after drinking them. We actually purchased another latte with one less extra shot to see if it was just a set of bad shots and the third drink was still undrinkable. So sad and disappointed, because we really had a hard time finding a good latte on our one day in Burlington on a September Tuesday for some reason, and after seeing great reviews of Vivid we had high hopes all the way up until the third cup.
Didn’t want to bug the barista because it was likely an issue with the machine programming or the roasting, not with her drink crafting abilities, but hopefully this problem can get...
Read moreOk let’s start off with the coffee. The people here are passionate and proud of the product- for good reason because it’s delicious. They pride the larva in sustainable sourcing but also ethical sourcing. The story behind the coffee, the people, and the roast is a great representation of the dedication to a good product. The venue is absolutely stunning. It’s just a good vibe to go there wether it’s a beautiful day you enjoy the window view or in a rainy one it’s a cozy mood as well. Finally, I’d say all the pop ups and other events that happen keep new things coming into the space. The best perk is that it’s not directly on church street so it’s a lesser visible hidden gem which makes it much more accessible than other busier not as worth it spots. I would most definitely make this a stop...
Read moreI basically live at Vivid. I’m a medical student and so have to study an amount that is largely out of my comfort zone. Though, I do the majority of my studies at Vivid, and so this has basically become my second home.
The back room has an open, airy, and well lit atmosphere. This is where I live. I sit at the back left bar seating in the middle - please do not steal my spot jk.
The staff is very very cool. Like in more than their personality - they are COOL 😎 like very trendy, alt, and just I feel cool interacting with them each day.
That said, primarily they are great baristas. The products are very artisanal but unfortunately I am coffee ignorant.
Highly recommend this place overall for the best place to study in Burlington and awesome place to just get coffee...
