This was my 1st time here. I had the French onion soup, Fish Hoagie, and Loaded Baked Potato Pizza I took to go. Let me say 1st in light of the fact that the only other restaurant/eatery choice in the town is a pizza place or Sheetz this was a beacon of light! The French onion soup was good, but I wished it had a little more seasoning and beefy flavor. It was a little on the bland side. The fish sandwich came with handcut fries which were very tasty along with the fish being very fresh and tasty. I was pleased to NOT see a triangle of frozen fish. It was also a little under seasoned but it was nicely done with fresh bread crumbs on a fresh hoagie roll. The pizza to go was a hit with my family later on when I got home. Everyone loved it! The service was good...no complaints however my waitress never asked me if I wanted a refill on my drink. I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu options although I'm not in town that often. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Edit 11/10/21...I went back on 11/06/21 and I was with my son who is 18yrs old. This time I had the stuffed pepper soup and Rachel vs Reuben sandwich. The soup was very tasty and the sandwich was outstanding! My son got a burger although he enjoyed it after he tried my sandwich he kept saying I wish I got that!! The Rachel vs Reuben sandwich was awesome and served on a freshly baked bun with real turkey (not lunch meat) and a nice ratio of corned beef to turkey. Also those hand cut fries are excellent!! We also shared an appetizer...crab cakes...they were very tasty also!! We will definitely be back.

Picked this place at random going off of other Google reviews, and I am SO glad I did. My husband and I have always been restaurant people and it’s been an experience to see my son start to pick up on what makes GOOD food, really good. I picked the garlic aglio olio, wanting something light and my son picked the adult spaghetti, wanting more meatball. The pasta was made from scratch and it was amazing. Fresh and delicious, I was blown away. My kid was too, from his very first bite he was going on and on about how it was the best spaghetti he’d ever had in his life. He genuinely wanted the recipe and asked our waitress (I think, Amber?? I’m so sorry, I’m so bad with names!!) but I fully expected the polite refusal, and took the opportunity to teach my son about “compliments to the chef”. What I did not expect, was for Chef Katie to come to the table and speak to my son. What a delight. My kid got the opportunity to tell the Chef how much he loved her recipe and how it was the best he’d ever had. She laughed when he asked for the recipe and joked he would need to come work in her kitchen before she’d tell him. Thank you, so, so, much, for the wonderful meal and the beautiful memory. I will make a point to come back if we are ever close and on the road again. This was a shining gem on our summer road trip, I appreciate it so much!! I could not recommend this place enough!

July 2024 UPDATED 😕 It saddens me to do this, but I have to be honest in my review. In the past I gave this restaurant 5 stars. But after my last few orders, I must change my review to reflect the most current experiences. I realize that inflation causes prices to increase; however, the spike in the prices here are MUCH HIGHER than other restaurants, including family-owned ones that I've been to. But the most disappointing thing is the pizza quality. We had been frustrated with how thin the crust had gotten on the large pizzas - I mean, it was so thin & therefore soggy, it was impossible to eat without a fork. So we finally asked if we could order the pizza with a thicker crust, but it costs an extra $3 (maybe more now, not sure). We recently ordered 3 large pizzas (White Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, & Pepperoni Ham Mushroom) & it came to $70 😲 And the Pepperoni one was quite burnt.

My mother in law took us here after a visit, my first time here.

Let's start with the good. Our server was great. She was attentive, filled drinks before they were even empty...never had to ask. I wish that I had grabbed her name.

Let's talk food. Reviews here are great, so was surprised with what we got. My step son and I shared a cheese and bacon fries. I love great fresh cut fries, but you almost have to double fry them to get them both cooked AND crispy on the outside. Especially if you're covering them with cheese. The fries were soft and limp and greasy, a few were undercooked. The cheese topping didn't help this situation. And the bacon? Not crispy!! It was like little pieces of ham drizzled over the cheese. Then my wife had the sweet potato fries and they were perfectly executed! How can you get one so right, while the other so wrong? Are the sweet potato fries out of a bag? That's my guess.

We also both ordered the special which was lasagna. The sauce was sweet, the sweetest that I have ever had in my 50 years. Like so sweet it bordered on a dessert lasagna, if there is such a thing. Also, it was a meatless sauce with the lasagna (with a huge core of ricotta, so much that it was out of balance) which I wish that I had known in advance, because I would have never ordered it.

My wife and her dad both got the shrimp and liked it. They were deep fried shrimp so you would expect the deep fried stuff to be

The flies. Man, you have to figure that out. We spent a lot of our time there shooing away flies. I don't know what else to say about that, you have to get that contained.

Everyone I was with has been here before and had good meals. My stepson has had good Strombolis there so there is good stuff here but the two things that I had missed the mark in both execution and flavor. In hindsight, I wish that would have just gone with my gut and got the stromboli...maybe we'd only be talking about the flies. Because at the end of the day, when you want to be at the price point that you're at...you...
