Soothing Tunes Room — Restaurant in Burton

Flew up from Kansas City in November 2024 to visit my aunt. Saw this restaurant on TikTok. At that time, the restaurant was named Sumptin To Eat. The service was superb & the food was delicious. At that time, I was planning a family reunion so we added Soothing Tunes (new name) as one of our places to eat for our family reunion in August 2025. Called in June 2025 to make reservations for August for about 20 people. Deposit was paid and we were looking forward to eating good food & listening to good music. A week before our reunion, was told the woman we made the reservation with was no longer there & we would need to pay more money at the door. Didn’t understand that but we obliged. Was told to be there at 5:00 which some of us were. A really nice lady showed us to our reserved tables & another really nice lady took our drink orders. The next 5 minutes were a little chaotic as we were told by a band member that one of the tables we were sitting at was HIS table. We were moved to a different section which was fine. The issue was the amount of time it took to get food. I ordered food around 5:45 and at 7:30, my sister & I still had not received it. A couple of the side items were cold for multiple family members & a couple of orders were wrong. As frustrating as it was, I must say the band was awesome & our waiter ( can’t think of his name) was extremely nice & made us all laugh. I would go back for the music but I’d probably eat...

I went there for my birthday. My birthday party was the biggest crowd there that night. They served me uncooked catfish and me and my guests had to ask them several times to fix it. The manager came over and he apologized and assured me they would bring me food out and never did. I had a party of 15 people. They made a lot of money off of us all night from dinners to drinks And never once did they replace the uncooked fish I could’ve been very sick from that. I paid $30 for a meal and I couldn’t eat the most important part. My birthday was in January so it was pretty cold out and outside. Could’ve been a little better because there was no salt down so it was difficult to get in. I don’t go out much and I like a very mature crowd and I like to support black own businesses, but when you’re treated poorly, it makes you not want to go back so I won’t be going back unfortunately. It was utter disrespect to not replace uncooked food that you receive funds for and to send Your manager as representation, and he didn’t rectify the situation yet said he would is unacceptable and poor business in my opinion, so I will be finding somewhere else to enjoy a...

Went there to see some friends perform last Sunday. This was my wife and I's first time. Very nice setup. Employees were very welcoming. My wife had an excellent pistachio martini. They have a patio out back where we can smoke our cigars which was nice. Overall it was a great time and we most likely will be back...
