I have been going to this place since they were on Richfield rd, and I'm am so disappointed now. The service is beyond horrible. I mean...the staff acted like they were ghetto teenagers on the street instead of professional staff...no wonder it was empty....I don't get to eat there often as I moved out of state but the last 2 times they messed up my order, last time they for got the 2.00 sour cream. This time was horrific. I looked to see if I had all items, thought ok, I do. Drive 20 mins back to my mi home and discovered that they forgot the stew meat in my taco dinner (there were also hard tacos in although I asked for medium). The stew meat my fave part I call up there and ...wow. the person that answers the phone says they have new cooks (still....), says she will credit me a dinner (doesn't help me now, but ok) , I tell her that it probably won't be until December before I would make it back but ok. I ask her her name and she says, I'm not telling you that!! Umm...why??? She says why would you need it?! We'll because I wanna know who I spoke to when I come in next time, you just said you were giving me a credit. She goes, ugh in December, I don't see why you need it....🚩🚩🚩🚩. Well that's common place to let people know who they are speaking with. She goes hmm it's Sara. Yeahhhh. By this time my SO is hearing this and agrees that she is most likely not giving the credit, if she was she wouldn't have an issue. I ask to speak to someone highter, she says no one is there, managers don't have a schedule (explains a lot) and what not. I say fine and just decide to get my stew meat. Wow!!! I wish I would have got more on video than I did. Pulling back in, there are no cars, not 1 customer, it's 3 hours before close. I walk back in and 7 waitresses are just sitting around. I ask again to speak to a manager and get confirmation that one is not there....I proceed to the bartender to let them know that I spoke with someone who said she was "sara" but am hesitate to believe that is her name, as she was refusing to tell me, I'm missing food etc. The suppose Sara girl comes up and starts yelling in my face. I ask to have my food remade as it is now over an hour old and cold, they refuse. The one girl tells me "I'm not going to come in here trying to get ppl in trouble ", how about doing your job??? They basically acted like a bunch of high school bullies. If one of the other waitresses wouldn't have stepped in the Sara would have attacked me. I tipped this chick 22%, probably the best tip she got that day and that's who she acts! I'll never return, and hopefully the owner actually listens. Said as it use to be an...
Read moreI don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case I have to be honest. We decided to try a new place to have dinner and ended up here. The restaurant itself was nice. It was well maintained and clean with a friendly atmosphere. The waitresses were amazing, which was the only reason I didn't send the "food" back and refuse to pay. There is no way to say this kindly and still give an honest warning to all who value their money and time, So... The PRICES are out of control. Every single thing on the menu was WAY over priced. I was so hungry I could've over looked that fact but when that waitress brought me that food! The presentation of the food mirrored the taste. I chose the sample platter that offered 4 or 5 (I could not tell which), small portions of each of their dinner entree's. Each bite got worse as I ate. The plate they brought out was a mess! Everything was slopped together with a watery substance spilling over into it. It was 4 or 5 different foods that in all actuality consisted of only one large, greasy mush. I can not believe that I ate some of it. I had to work up the courage to take a few bites. I kept thinking maybe one of the 4 or 5 would be ok. It was bad. I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of this food. We go out to eat maybe once every two weeks and this was such a disappointment. The prices were what you would expect in a 5 star french cuisine in Hollywood. At least I learned a few things, one being I will never again pay for food like that let alone eat it or forget to take a picture for reference. Definitely an experience that I will...
Read moreI’ve eaten at Tia Helita’s before and had good tasting food, but we ate their yesterday and I think the quality of the food has gone downhill. We ordered chips and salsa and before the chips seemed warm and bigger, but not this time. The portion also seemed smaller. I ordered a seafood burrito with beans and rice. The rice was dry and bland, the beans were the best part and I ate two to three bites of the burrito and found the taste was completely off. The inside was made with sour cream and wine and the server said the dish got high reviews. I took it home to see if my son wanted it and he spit it out and said something was wrong with the food. I threw the whole burrito away. I think it was like $9.49 for the lunch special. The inside of the restaurant was cold. My friend asked for the heat to be turned up - which I don’t think ever happened. Our server disappeared after bringing us menus and water. My friend picked up the tab so I did not want to complain about the meal, but was never asked if we liked it or needed anything else. Although, we were offered extra water. The server brought us a few more chips but didn’t charge us so that was nice. All in all, I would give this restaurant a three, but I would probably not return due to the quality of the food. Perhaps it was an off day, but we were there early in the morning and the restaurant was...
