Great food, but the music could have been chosen more tastefully... 2p in the afternoon made it feel like I was in some hip hop night club getting tipsy... Very sad, for when I asked to change the music the manager said they didn't have the power to do so... that the playlist came from corporate... I was flabbergasted to say the least... I'm not even 40yr yet... And is still prefer to hear something more mellow but classic.. just some to name a few.... Dolly Parton, "Jolene"

Read moreI am never a person to talk badly on an establishment or service, however, the way we were treated this evening was unacceptable. My family and I ordered food to go, my husband waited over an hour to pick up our food. When he did and returned home, we were missing several items from our order, including our receipt. He went back to the restaurant and called before going there, and put him on hold several times. When he got there, they handed us our missing items and did not even apologize. While on the phone waiting to talk to the manager to express our frustrations, the manager laughed it off like it was no big deal. She was willing to give us a refund for the item we were missing (not the meal), but again we did not get an apology for how we were treated. The manager then hung up on my husband. I called back and asked if it was the same manager who hung up on us, and when I asked for her name she hung up on me again. We will not be giving the Montana Club in Butte our business again. This is not the first time something like this has happened to us when ordering food to go. Every time we have ate at the restaurant, we have been treated excellent and the food was always good. But when we have ordered food to go it is a different story. Just a suggestion for people who go there frequently and pay good money, it would be nice to be treated right by the management and...
Read moreWhile service has been, and still is great, unfortunately, food quality has gone from pretty good, to OK, to pretty bad, to some of the worst I've eaten.
My wife had the salmon and it looked like, and had the same texture as if, it were pre-cooked and reheated, many of the other dishes I've had the last few times also seemed this way.
I understand restaurants do varying degrees of pre-prep for food, obviously for example, if one orders lasagna, that cannot be prepared to order in a reasonable time frame. There are also some things that don't suffer much quality loss if made well in advance, like many sauces, chili or even taco meat for some examples... but the prices at the Montana Club are way to high to justify the amount of pre-cooking and the relatively poor quality ingredients.
For a fraction more, much better food is available at Casagranda's... and for much less, great quality (though supposedly less fancy) food is available from the Hanging Five.
Again, the staff have always been excellent, so it pains me to be leaving this review, but I don't think we will dine at or recommend the Montana Club again, unless food quality makes a substantial improvement,...
