I read through all the reviews before I went here, and it appears people had different experiences, but I'm writing to say they're on the good side for me lol. I got a 12-pack (6 regular, 6 topped) of donuts to take to my work, and it was kind of a split vote for if people liked them or not. It was definitely down a line of cakey or not cakey people, though. I personally enjoy both cake and yeast donuts. The glazed yeast donut was good, and, IMO, the cake topped donuts were better. I tried the following: Glazed, Cinnamon & Sugar, Blueberry Pancake, Birthday Cake, Cereal 'n Milk, and Chocolate Chip Cookie. The Blueberry Pancake was my favorite. But my coworker who isn't a big fan of cake donuts called it a 5 or 6 out of 10.
So I guess the thing to take away here is that it's all a matter of preference. If you like cake donuts, you'll love the donuts here. If you're a yeast donut person, just stick to the ones only offered as yeast donuts. Just remember these are smaller donuts, maybe 2 bites, 3 at the most. But I really enjoyed them, and will come back in the future when I'm not running late for work in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore deciding to visit Dizzy Donuts, I looked at the reviews, like I normally do. When I read a couple of them talking about the owner pouring water on a homeless person, I looked into it more because I didn't want to support a business that would do this. Within just a couple of minutes, I found it was not the same business as it is a different Dizzy Donuts in Oregon, which has no affiliation with this business. I was a little annoyed that people do bad reviews and don't even do them accurately. This is a small local business, and we live in this town and haven't heard anything bad about these people. We got a few dozen donuts this morning for our kid's birthday to celebrate at school, and the donuts were good. I recommend checking them out if you want to support local people. They also offer gluten-free options, which is what I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDizzy Donuts specializes in miniature donuts. They have two classes of donuts. They have a cheaper standard class of donuts like plain, chocolate, glazed, powdered sugar, you know the usual types. Then they have the fancy ones that are slightly more expensive with all sorts of toppings.
The donuts are good. They're not so good you'll switch to only getting permanent miniature donuts for the rest of all time, but they're good. The small fancy donuts are a unique gimmick that they pull off well. If you're looking for a special treat for some reason for a small group, Dizzy Donuts should be on your radar. Any more than 3 dozen amd your going to need to pre-order.
It's a small storefront and the people behind it seem like good folks. You love to see small businesses like...
