I went to iHop in Caguas for the first time last saturday. As I entered the restaurant, the host and crew were basically laughing, making jokes and the restaurant was a little bit crowded, which no issues with that. Not even a greet, but the host tried to be nice. We were seated and the host didn’t gave us a menu, which it wasn’t a big issue. I looked for the menu on the internet, but time kept passing,10 min a no waitress. They sat a couple besides us arrived 4 min later after us and they ordered within 5 min they sat on their table. We asked a waitress for two menus since I wanted to see what else is there instead of the digital one, she gave it with an attitude and told us your waiter will be coming shortly. The woman that was going to be our waitress told us I will be right with you shortly. We knew they had tons of tables and I know a waitress job it ain’t easy, but we waited 30 minutes, she kept repeating I will be taking your order shortly and nothing happened. We saw her taking order to other tables and nothing with ours. We decided to leave the restaurant due to this big disappointment. The couple that arrived 4 minutes after us, they were eating and I didn’t even order a coffee to start with. I do not recommend this establishment in Caguas. Staff should be educated more and learn on how to treat people. I know the girl that gave us the menu was not our designated waiter, but at least be kind. We were disappointed, but at least we asked her kindly. We understand attending tables is not an easy job, but we were patient and waited. Never ever...
Read moreIHOP in a mall. We generally eat at small locally owned eateries where the food is really good, so I am biased. Food was decent, servers were busy yet friendly. The space is not well planned. Big entry, cattle chute dining area that felt cramped. Door into the mall is emergency only, you can see where you want to go but have to go around to a main entrance. This setup might be a remanent of covid. Franchise owner might need to get input from customers and staff as to changing the layout. We felt like get the food and go. Not relaxing and spending more time/money on food...
Read moreNo physical menu. You have to scan it. And when asked for the physical menu, I was told it wasn’t allowed. Stupidest thing ever. With the slowest internet connection ever, I found myself sharing 1 phone for the digital menu- sorting through 20 pages. And the waiter kept asking if I was ready to order even though we couldn’t download the menu quick enough. And it took a long time to beat some eggs. AND they got my order wrong… so I had to wait additional time. Needless to say, I won’t be back with my family of 4. So because of all this I didn’t tip. Plus the child...
