Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Caldwell

I walked into the restaurant because the promo for the free burger on the app was not working. It was for a free burger with any purchase. We had two crosscut fries on the order, and the promo was not working. But that's not the problem. My problem is with the staff. The first person I talked to didn't know what to do, so he asked another worker...IN THE BATHROOM. I had to wait for the other one to come out. I heard someone on the speaker yell "hello" to get someone to help them. In the mean time, the first person I talked to didn't bother even taking the other customer's order. (He didn't even talk to the person at the drive thru). That customer waited and eventually walked out. I talked to the other worker after he got out of the bathroom, and told him about the promo mishap. He said he had issues with it, but didn't even offer to honor it. He didn't even know what to do. I had to ask him if he would honor it. I even pointed out how they had advertising all over for the new app and promo! He then said something about telling the cooks, and then walked off. All while the first worker disappeared in the back. I waited a couple of minutes for him to come back and take my order, but he only came up to put a bucket of water on a counter. He didn't even acknowledge me. He just walked to the back. No one even tried to take my or the other customer's order. And the cooks were even standing there, waiting for orders! So I walked out too. There was no one in the drive thru at that point, so they literally were just standing in the back where I couldn't see them and were talking. The restaurant was not busy. There was absolutely no excuse. I would understand if they were busy while short staffed, but it was NOT busy, and they couldn't be bothered to take an order. Even the cooks...

I am kind of picky about my hamburgers or anything called a chicken tender (that might not be chicken). The southwest bacon cheese burgers are quite good, the chicken is prepared and hand breaded by the cooks. The chicken is definitely not the frozen processed stuff that most others try to pass off as fresh. Love, love their onion rings, crispy, just like I like them. The employees that work here always seem happy, service with a smile and if your order isn't right they promptly correct the error. You get an apology and no attitude. A few weeks ago a new girl missed getting my french fries in the bag and when I called after getting home they said they would make it right on my next order. When I was there the following week the girl remembered me from the week before and before handing me the oder she said "your missing order of fries are in the bag, see I did remember (I hadn't said anything when I placed the order for the fact that it was just fries) and once more apologized for the mistake. For me with any fast food establishment it's not the fact that the order is wrong because EVERYONE makes mistakes, but the fact that when you say anything about it the person in the window acts as if the mix-up was not their fault and have attitude about it. I have never gotten anything but service with a smile from the employees at this location. I don't know about anyone else but good customer service skills do matter. You are no longer required to...

This was by far the worst experience we've had at a fast food restaurant. The employees behind the counter were extremely rude, they didn't care about the customers they were to busy talking amongst themselves. There were no napkins on the customers side of the counter, my wife asked the guy at the counter for napkins and he rolled is eyes and walked away. (Never got more napkins) My wife then went to get some ketchup for our little girls and there was only one sauce, it was some sauce that tasted like metal. When she went to dispense the sauce the dispenser fell on the floor. She went and told the guy at the counter and he came over and just put it back in and left. She again went over to the counter and told him that was on the floor, so he rolled his eyes and went over and took the whole dispenser back behind the counter. The bathrooms were so disgusting we couldn't take our kids in to go to the bathroom. To top it off the food was absolutely horrible. I would tell people to stay away from this location, it could cause you to never go back to Carl's Jr again. I know we will never be going back to...
