the place looks nice and spacious and cute. it was pretty empty when we were there but it was a weekday so that probably contributed to the low turnout. the tacos were pretty flavorful. each taco option on the menu is only one taco which price wise it was a bit too much for me but I guess for this area it was decently priced (they were located on a main Street so the real estate was probably expensive). I enjoyed both tacos I got and my friends enjoyed theirs (we each got two) as well. we shared an order of chips and guac (the guac is delicious...not enough guac for the chips though). one friend was still hungry after two tacos so she was disappointed she still needed to get food at the next stop we went to. the other friend and I were relatively full but probably because we consumed more of the chips. one friend ordered tea and she was quite disappointed in how it tasted (didn't like the water used) and that the place didn't serve lemonade. service was decent (waitress checked on us two or three times while we were there). during our time there we only saw two or three other customers. would probably come again if I was in the area and wanted tacos but wouldn't go out of my way...
Read moreI have been wanting to stop by for the past year since I have been driving by twice a day for the past year. I could have stopped in by myself but I wanted to go with my wife.
We try to stop by on Saturday we arrived at 3:10pm they closed at 3pm. So we stopped by today and my wife is glad we did. You may ask why that's cause it was the last day for the lobster taco. She didn't need to see a menu she ordered the special. I ordered the Blackened Fish taco. Pineapple soda was ordered and brought to the table.
The Blackened Fish Taco was seasoned perfectly moist tomatoes cilantro fabulous just plain fabulous. Pictures don't do it justice wife bit into her lobster taco and then kicked me. Telling it was damn good she ordered one to go. The lobster taco came with Old Bay seasoned french fries. Now that's a switch I had one of the fries and got mad.
The taco is simple and clean service was on point we were thanked for stopping by. We will be back and it won't take a...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to try Fat Fish Taco for the first time. The restaurant itself looks great, and the environment was nice and welcoming. We were excited to order, especially when we saw the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco on the menu.
However, we were both surprised when the order arrived it was just one large taco for $12. Coming from Queens, NYC, I’m used to taco spots serving at least three smaller tacos per order, especially at that price point. We also ordered one of the daily specials, and again, just one big taco showed up.
The taste? Honestly, it was pretty good no complaints there. But presentation-wise and portion wise, it felt off. With the amount of filling in one taco, they could easily make three smaller tacos and elevate the dish both visually and in value.
Also, I’d suggest they warm up their tortillas a bit more. It makes a difference.
All in all, the food tasted fine, but the portion style was confusing and not what we expected from...
