Rarely do I gloat publicly, or write a stellar review without being asked to or "peer pressured" into it 😂 Therefore, you know this comes from the heart ❤️ HOLY S#%T...this place is GOOD!!! I am floored by EVERYTHING in this new, quaint, Greek, family-run, eatery on Bloomfield Avenue, in Caldwell, NJ. I happened to be, literally, running past it yesterday evening and noticed they are on day 3 of their soft opening. So, naturally I popped in and wow...where to start?? The food was OUTSTANDING!! I got a Greek salad and it was hands down the best damn greek salad I've ever had! Just saying. The Feta is the best and their homemade dressing is even better! All the ingredients were fresh, tasty and flavorful. Huge portion...had to have my son come pick me up since I ran there and wanted to take half home. It was that good! The business owners are the nicest, most generous people. They insisted on giving me not one, but two delicious, deserts to take home and even let me pick from a variety of home made treats in their desert case. I mean, does it get better than that? Haven't tried the wafer and choc desert yet but the rice pudding is off the charts! The place itself has a warm, cozy, inviting feel to it...a true testament to the authenticity of its owners. They have a lovely display set up with various, specialty, Greek "items" to buy. ie. oils, crackers and breads. Rare cheeses are in their refrigerated section and the place is decorated to the hilt with vines and vases, blue oceans and catamarans, which give it that Athens feel to it...and I'm not even Greek!! Gyro World Caldwell NJ is the absolute #1 place to eat! So happy they have opened. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ,100%, and 10 OUT OF 10! Awesome sauce, fantabulus, delicious, plentiful, etc... the list of words to describe the food and overall experience at this wonderful restaurant could go on and on! Gyro World's ambiance and decor is a total vibe down to the music! I think it's also important to let you know how clean the restaurant was as well as the comfortable seats. The staff is kind, professional, and welcoming. The owner of Gyro World Yanni. He came over to our table and introduced himself. He was knowledgeable, kind, professional, and funny! I really appreciate the time he took to speak with us and get to know us. Thank you Yanni for providing us with food that consist of quality and deliciousness! Our orders were the beef and lamb lunch platter with salad and rice. The chicken lunch platter with rice, lemon potatoes, and salad. Pita bread and sauce also came with our orders. Simply awesome and delicious!! I am going to order both of these again plus try something new everytime I come LOL! My favorite thing about Gyro World...

First time here and let me tell you..... this place is a MUST!! I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter with fries and spinach pie. My husband ordered the Falafel Platter with lemon potatoes and spinach pie. I tried my husband's lemon potatoes and was very surprised at how creamy they tasted! No overpowering lemony taste that I've had from other Gyro/Greek restaurants before. I loved them! The staff was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. I felt right at home and relaxed. Be prepared to eat alot because their platters are huge! You get so much food, it's worth the prices you pay here. The food came pretty fast. We didn't wait long at all. The Manager here came to our table twice to make sure and ask if everything was ok. Terrific service! The third time he came to bring us take out boxes to wrap up our food to bring home because there was so much we couldn't finish! He thoughtfully brought us 2 small servings of their Rice Pudding with cinnamon on top and I was delighted! You can tell they really care about their patrons/customers here!
