Hokkaido Noodle and Roll — Restaurant in Caldwell

This was a delivery order for lunch in an office. 3 of us ordered food. 3 stars for atmosphere because we are not sure and want to be fair. The only issues were with the food itself. The shrimp was not cleaned properly (still had poop on it) and was dry. Ordered all noodles with no mushrooms, of course they put mushrooms in all. Edemame and Gyoza were average at best. My sushi was a 5.1 out of 10 imo but after the shrimp incident, I did not feel right eating anything else. Would not be surprised if one of us ends up getting even slightly irritated stomach or maybe even actually sick. The one shining star was the miso soup which was actually good. Definitely none of us will order from here ever again (all 3 of us agree) and are also kind of shocked this place has such high average...

Allergy danger zone!! After we received a delivery I was alarmed by what looked like breadcrumbs on 2 of 3 rolls ordered for a celiac (gluten allergy) family member.

We called the restaurant, inquiring as we were careful to read all ingredients before ordering, the lady advised they were “tempora crunchies” which was NOT listed on the menu. I asked for new rolls as these could not be eaten.

After receiving the new rolls, which did not appear to have the tempora crunchies, one was eaten only to find a layer of these “crunchies” on the bottom.

Benadryl has given immediately while we now wait to see if we have to go to the hospital tonight. Ruined...

It's good to see that poke is finally making its way to New Jersey. Though I'm not sure that this place really competes with NYC poke spots in terms of bang for your buck, it definitely satisfies my poke craving until the next time I can get to the city.
