Seafood Birthday Bash!
Went to this restaurant for my uncles birthday. He doesn’t eat chicken or steak so seafood is his favorite. Caldwell Seafood Market & Cafe was an obvious choice because of the pictures and the fact it was a fresh seafood market just stood out to me. It did not disappoint either! We were a group of 10 people and ordered everything our heart desired and spent $579. We ordered 3 orders of fried calamari which was nice and crispy and they even had a ginger sauce which is different. We tried the hot and spicy shrimp which had a great sauce to dip the complementary bread in. We ordered 5 bowls of New England clam chowder. I felt it was watery and not as seasoned as I am used to but we enjoyed it anyway. They forgot a bowl of soup but we won’t hold it against them. We all ordered entrees and most of us got a dessert! We left full and satisfied!
Knowing my family we love to eat and we are all reviewers at heart and are not afraid to say what we do not like. Everyone loved their food from the appetizers to the dessert and we were surprised at how fast the food came and how fresh it was. The waiter was very attentive as well. We didn’t need a reservation when we came in at 3pm and were the only ones there. Surprising it was not packed for a Saturday afternoon but started to fill up as we left.
Overall this restaurant gets a 5/5 because the experience was great, the waiter was very nice and accommodating, the food was piping hot and everyone was pleased even the kids who aren’t really seafood fans.
P.S. Below are photos of some entrees we ordered like the Red Snapper with spinach and beans, Bronzino with mash and veggies, Fish and Chips, Linguine with...

My friend came about 6:30 (family emergnecy) we ordered and finished our dinner and were in the middle of haveing a conversation while drinking our wine. After we paid the check about 7:45 a very rude man came over put the cork in the bottle and said ladies I need this table! A little taken back we looked at each other confused finished our wine and proceeded to leave, I was anoyed at what had happend so I asked one of the servers who the tall man with the silver hair was and his response was Enzo I asked who was he to my suprise he was the owner! At that point Enzo came over and I told him that what he did was rude he said I know and than said that I will not be coming back and he said I hope not!!! I don't know where this man got his manners or professionalism from! If he needed the table there is definately a more approperate way to do this. The food was ok but the rudness of the owner was inexcusable! I just want to let new patrons know that if you decide to go to this man's establishment don't expect to be treated like a valued customer chances are...

Date of my visit 10-16-2021
I ordered Zuppa di pesce from the menu, was listed as $29.99 I thought the price was ok, when I ordered I was told by waiter Anthony, it would be $7.00 more because the menu was not updated , and comes with lobster tail, I said ok. The scallops were under cook, and the lobster was over cook and cold (I think the lobster tail was cook in advance and kept frozen) the lobster was a piece of cold rubber, I did not eat the “rubbery lobster tail” I tried but was BAD! To make the story short when my bill came the Zuppa di pesce was $41.99.
I asked the waiter Anthony $41.99?? He gave me an explanation that I don’t think he understood himself what he was saying.
My husband is pretty easy, he ordered some fish the price was around $40.00 as well, he wasn’t happy with his dish either, but was better than my zuppa di pesce.
The moral I learned “when you visit a restaurant and you are the only couple in the restaurant, and nobody else goes …. there is a reason” The food was not good at all, the experience was worse, I will not return to this...
