We started going to this restaurant a couple months ago and I have taken people here regularly at least weekly (if not more often) because it was consistently good food and service. But a recent experience was so bad I don’t think we will ever be back. We had a waiter named Jayden. I’m the type of person that even when I get bad service, I always tip a minimum of 15% although 20- 25% is pretty much my norm. When he took our order, I said I wanted the steak fajitas and he asked me if I wanted the single fajitas and I said no I wanted the lunch fajitas. Then when it came time to check out instead of the lunch purchase price I was charged about six or seven dollars more and the receipt said single fajitas. I thought it was simply an oversight so I mentioned it when I went to check out and he immediately started lying instead no, you said specifically you wanted the single fajitas because I made you clarify it. I told him no I clearly said lunch fajitas when you asked me if I wanted the single fajitas cause I’ve never even heard the term single fajitas…. Also, there was no more volume to the “single” fajitas than the regular lunch fajitas, so I don’t think I got anything more than I normally did…. He refused to adjust the price to what I ordered and kept arguing with me so I finally said fine I just won’t leave you a tip. The guy was being so sarcastically drippy sweet in a fake way and saying well I hope you have a really nice day, etc. so I said to him you know you must be the owner or the owner’s son because you are acting really inappropriately for someone in service industry. I work in the hospitality service industry and I could never get away with that. But was really upsetting about this and why we probably won’t be back is there is this guy, who is always there standing in the kitchen area when we go watching everything, and he sat there and watched this whole thing and I’m pretty sure he’s a manager and he never said one word . If management doesn’t care then this will be an ongoing problem. I am...
Read moreAs a recommendation, I ordered the Quesabirria and it was probably the greasiest, least flavorful tacos I have ever had. I am not sure if they are deep fried or fried on a black top grill but they were just greasy. The beef had no flavor and I actually had to add fresh jalapeno to the tacos for any type of flavor. The tacos were served room temperature as well. The sauces that came with it were just as bad. The green sauce was like baby food and bland, the red sauce was as if someone added hot sauce and sugar to ketchup, and the other sauce (consommé?) that is served in a larger ramekin was oily with added onion and cilantro. The only reason that I finished my meal was it was the only thing that I had all day minus some strawberry yoghurt for breakfast. Thank God for the chips and salsa that were on the table. Maybe make the salsa less sweet, because it tasted like salsa from a container from Sysco or US Foods. Mind you, I was with a party of about 15 but there should be no excuse for sitting at a restaurant for at least 2 hours before receiving our meals. The service was so bad that we saw people just get up and leave after sitting at their own tables for a while. I felt bad for our waitress telling us that they were understaffed, and she was supposed to already be off of her shift so she was trying to do the best that she could, but I wouldn't want my staff voicing their frustrations to customers. I have tried Los Tres Amigos before, and honestly this place is not any better than the first time. I love Tex-Mex and Mexican food being that I am originally from Texas, so I grew up eating this type of food weekly and I also make it from scratch at home (no kits, cans or packaged seasoning). I can honestly tell you that I would not recommend or even classify Los Tres Amigos as Tex-Mex or Mexican. I am being harsh on this but this is my honest opinion on spending over $50...
Read moreWe have given this restaurant multiple tries after new management took over. We had come here every Friday for almost 2 years until the shift. The atmosphere changed drastically. Waitresses are rude, food portion is skimpy for the inflated pricing. When the manager was asked to come over due to a messed up order we were immediately met with a rude and condescending individual. The waitresses later apologized for his actions which speaks volumes to the chain of command. We thought maybe ordering out would be the better option but upon arrival to pick up our order they said it was never received when it had been confirmed by them and the meal paid for. CASSANDRA the waitress was extremely rude, she saw us standing there for 10 min before coming over with a disgruntled tone and attitude. She didn't offer alternatives or assistance and when we asked if we could re-place the order we were met with backlash. She stated no manager was there and she was only a waitress so we would have to contact our email for the problem. I was willing to repay for the order as it was our meal plan and we had no plan B but she continued to be rude. Needless to say we left even more in awe of the lack of compassion and service this restaurant continues to display. Take my advice and go 10 minutes down the road to El Patrero. It will save you.
Update: I tried to get a refund for the online order and the online ordering company they use tried for an hour to get ahold of the restaurant to confirm the order was never received and the restaurant...
