We were first introduced to Adventurer’s Coffee at a harvest fest last year. They had a booth set up and decided to buy a couple bags of their coffee. I’ve been hooked on the Faire Maiden since. I won a contest last year as well on Instagram.
I’ve always wanted to come to the coffee shop but am never in the area and live almost an hour away. Since we were going to Alabaster today I made sure to make a pit stop here today. I’m so happy we did! I ordered the smoked caramel macchiato and my husband ordered an espresso. Plus we bought a bag of ground Faire Maiden for myself. I LOVE the lightness of the Faire Maiden coffee and how it doesn’t have that strong coffee taste. I’m not a huge coffee drinker but will drink this till I’m blue in the face. The smoked caramel macchiato was amazing in fact it was so amazing I sucked it down in about 10 minutes. My husband loved his espresso and kept mentioning how strong it was. He likes his coffee black and strong. He also said it had an awesome flavor.
The coffee shop is quaint and charming. The employees are superior and super friendly. There was a book signing going on there today so I’m sure it was extra busy. Honestly couldn’t tell you who the author was. We decided to sit on the couch in the shop and enjoy our coffee with our daughter. I will eventually go back but I’m happy we splurged and visited here today! If I ever need anymore coffee I now know I can order it online so I’m happy about that! Thanks for a great experience and awesome...
Read moreThe acia bowl was NOT what I expected! It is not prepared fresh it was frozen the bananas were soggy which made them ruined, couldn’t tell if there were blueberries or strawberries due to the fact it consisted of mostly the acia smoothie and the fact that it is still frozen in a solid chunk! Very little Nutella and peanut butter, the overall size was not worth the $10 I paid! I’ve gotten the same bowl from “street bowls” for $12 it’s doubles in size prepared fresh each order with a reasonable serving amount of each topping , perfectly perfected! When I heard adventures coffee had one of these bowl I was so excited being its right down the road from my home, now disappointed for the waste of my time and money! The gentleman working was exceptionally nice and the look of the place was immaculate! My only complaint is the acia bowl didn’t meet standards I think it should be based on...
Read moreWe went in and ordered drip coffee. The first cup we received was room temperature, approaching cold. We asked to have it remade and they did a pour-over instead. With pour-overs the coffee can be quite bitter and I prefer not drinking pour-overs for this reason. We weren’t given the option. The coffee was EXTREMELY bitter and the entire bottom of the cup was coffee grounds, the coffee had lots of floating grounds in it and was VERY chalky. I came in to throw it away without saying anything to anyone and was just told “have a good day” but most definitely in a sarcastic fashion. Definitely don’t recommend if you frequent coffee shops on a regular basis. We stopped here on the way home from a trip and are used to visiting local coffee shops. Perhaps we just came at a bad time of day and had the...
