I personally rank Chinese food places anywhere I go, and this is my go to place in SD now! Im so happy to have found this diamond in the rough. The value is cheaper and better food than Panda Express (who’s often hit or miss). They don’t skimp on portions either! You seriously will not beat the prices! The workers are always very nice too. It’s small and minimalist, but you can tell it’s owned by a kind, authentic family. Their orange chicken is dark meat with a great balance of soft and crispy, plus flavorful breading and sauce! The fried rice is also wonderful without an overwhelming amount of veggies and more flavor than plain rice that tastes like nothing. My go to for quick and easy Chinese! Definitely a regular for me. If this is the tiny place that shares a parking lot with ihop, then we're talking about the same place. You won't find fresher food anywhere else. Addictive noodles. Perfectly crunchy broccoli in the Broccoli Beef, with tender, yet not mushy beef. The Kung Pao could be spicier, but it's flavorful as is. The kids like the crispy goopy Orange Chicken, which, since they make things in small batches, is not soggy. I've tried everything and I have my favorites, but for American Fast Chinese food, you can't find fresher served up by the lovely ladies. Plates get smaller and price goes up. Half the time you have to wait for fresh cooked food ..mostly over breaded and more vegetables than meat per serving. They skimp you with small servings in the small tray and you're lucky if they give you soy sauce and Sriracha with your food. They don't smile when they serve you, it feels like a soup shop. $12.90 a plate. PANDA 🐼EXPRESS gives you 3 entrees for that price and way better tasting, plus you get a fortune cookie.
