Canyon Inn — Restaurant in California

On 12/16/22, a young man Hunter age 20, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by N. Watson age 19. They were both leaving the Canyon Inn where they had been drinking at the bar. Within a mile of leaving the Canyon Inn Noah lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The passenger was killed instantly. The driver was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Speaking to Hunter's friends and others in our community we discovered several other underage kids are frequently at this bar. The overall consensus in the area by teens is this is the place to go and get in to drink. The owner knows and condones the business. A review on Yelp posted 28 days ago has a lady claiming there were kids aged 16 drinking in the bar and said they're friends with the owner. I cannot express to you the pain of losing a child. Nothing in life can prepare you for receiving the news your only son was killed in a car accident. It will forever have a hole in someone's heart. If something is not done with this establishment he will not be the last kid to die. My brother dont due reviews but i do and am going to leave a review on what he told me. My brother was out on vacation and went to this establishment and said the steak and service was phenomenal and that he enjoyed his time there. Now my issue is the childish nitwits that live on mommies couch and think that giving a bad review is funny when it is actually someone's lively hood you are messing with. Trying to take food out of a families mouth to get a rise out of the owner is inexcusable. If I could say one thing to the owner is dont reply back to the ppl who never been there and leave a bad review. When you do reply back all you're doing is opening the door for them to tell their friends to leave one so they can all get off on your replies. Best thing to do is dont put fuel on the fire. I saw the bar rescued episode & was very impressed with the upgrades, even the name change! I was looking fwd to stopping by with my next visit to the area. However, I caught the follow-up bar rescue episode & have also read recent reviews. The owner has remained completely clueless about the abrasive old regulars, petty in replacing good gourmet foods with the old junk/can soup, & business wise is completely out of his league! I concur the name change was a positive move. The word Inn implies a motel & was very outdated like the bar has become before bar rescue renovation. The beautiful renovated interior is now replaced with tacky posters & misc clutter. This isn't a place for a my money. I spend cash & like to drink & eat in one that reinvests in itself.
