Erik's DeliCafé — Restaurant in California

I came into this restaurant at 5 pm on Monday, 12/6, intending to purchase over $25 food. The order taker, a rude early 20s white guy, who refused to give me his name, came up with his mask barely covering his upper lip. I asked him several times to put his mask on properly to protect us both and to comply with law. He refused, arguing he was a healthy individual, had been vaccinated, he flat out refused, dismissed me saying he had better things to do, including taking out the trash.

I have never been treated rudely at this restaurant before, though I have been here often snd spent a lot of money here.

P.S. He’s also the guy preparing your food!!

Is this acceptable to management????

Second p.s. in case anyone believed management was the least bit concerned except about a bad review describing them violating the law...nope, no one has contacted me...

I love Erik's Deli so decided to hop in here after a doctors appointment. I'm not sure if I just came in on a bad day, but the woman running the counter when I came in on 8/23 for lunch was quite rude in their demeanor towards everyone. Like they didn't want to be there at all. Seems like that may be their norm since no nametag and logged into the register as someone else entirely so you can't put a name to the complaint. The food, while tasting good, was subpar compared to the Scotts Valley location. The only thing this location had going for it was the nice amount of windows for natural light.

Went to the Scotts Valley location on 8/24, and ordered the same thing. The veggies were much fresher, the pickle was actually a pickle spear and not an 8th of inch pickle skin and the...

Ordered a sandwich and salad. The sandwich was good ingredients are fresh. The main problem was both of my sandwich and salad we're missing quite a few ingredients I had requested. I chose to make my own sandwich with ingredients I had chosen but certain ingredients I requested we're not on my sandwich. After getting the receipts sure enough they were on there but not on my sandwich. The salad was good but half the ingredients listed were missing as well. I went and a busy time so I will give them the benefit of the doubt staff was friendly and I will try...
