We had planned to babysit for my very pregnant daughter so she could go out for Valentine's day before she has her baby. We stopped to grab a quick order of fried oysters. We arrived at 6:15. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for one order of 10 fried oysters. We should have just ask for our $23 back, and I tipped 20% in advance. We were one of two customers there when we arrived and the other couple had already ordered. It took over 10 minutes to even be asked to take our order. Then as other people started to come in everyone waited a very long time except for two men who came in and ordered beer and Mexican food, they were served before everyone else who'd been waiting. We'd been waiting 45 minutes by then. I should add, we also ordered one item from the adjoined Mexican restaurant. We ordered a cold seafood cocktail, and the two men were served their dine in hot food long before us. At 7:10 the first couple was served and at 7:30 we were served. We waited patiently and didn't raise a stink because the employee appeared to be a one person show. We were absolutely dumbfounded that at no point was any unsuspecting customer told it was currently over an hour wait when they ordered, nor was there ever a "thank you for your patience" and no apology for the inconvenience. We felt like we were being held against our will. I was so looking forward to this evening, both the oysters and spending time with our grandchild. We are so disappointed in the lack of communication to customers and complete disregard for people's valuable time. The owners and management should issue a statement to everyone who spent their evening on valentines day waiting around at their...
Read moreHorrible product will never support again!😪 I had been wanting to try your place for months since you opened. Yesterday I ordered shrimp po'boy, chicken and shrimp combo and side of fried okra. It was very disappointing to see that the food was so badly prepared, the shrimp po'boy was only (4) small pieces and they were under cooked to a point that my wife only ate not even half of the sandwich. The chicken/ shrimp combo, chicken and fries were so salty they were not edible and once again the shrimp was under cooked. Plus I paid extra charge for jumbo shrimp but they were not jumbo maybe more like 31/40 shrimp 🤔 not U15 or 16/20 which I think when you say JUMBO? As you know doing this time with so many restaurants are struggling to survive and serve a great product, my wife and I continue to try and support small businesses. Also as a person who has worked in the industry for years and who has owned a small restaurant, understanding that the most important aspect of the culinary industry is that you serve great product. In my kitchen I continue to Stress The Importance Of Putting LOVE Into The Food! Taste Taste Taste! I would rather explain to my guests that the order will take a little longer than just serve something that will bring a complaint or maybe guests that don't come back! I want to Thank You for reaching out for a response that means you CARE! Please take the time to not only Taste Your Food, but also explain to your staff why it's important for everyone to Taste before serving! Thank you...
Read moreThis is my first time trying skips. I’m big on chicken sandwich and once my friend told me they have one I had to try it. I came here during lunchtime. As soon and I walk it in it was COLD. I was wearing a hoodie and it was cold. They have a menu displaced on monitors really high up near the ceiling. There was a person sitting waiting for their food and a customer inform of me ordering. So the place was not full. The sandwich is $11.99 ($12) by itself and with a combo it is $15.99 ($16) with taxes $18.05 for a chicken sandwich, fries, and drink. I went ahead with the hot Nashville sandwich instead of the original. The lobby was pretty clean inside. The walls are painted red with some wood trims. It looks nice. So after 24 minutes. I finally got my hot chicken sandwich. Visually it looked great. It had some sauce on it and oil oozing out of it. It was more of a long chicken tender rather than a patty. The chicken had a good taste to it but it was not a crunchy type of batter. The sauce was good. The thing I really liked was the coleslaw. It was what saved the sandwich. There was a lot of grease dripping. I would give a 6/10. I don’t think it’s worth what it is priced what but...
