Was at this place last week and the food was pretty good. Had so much different kinds of food. Tried the steak that they would grill on the griddle that they make in front of you and it's not that bad. Had there black bean oysters and those were pretty good it kept running out really fast so i had to get some as fast as i could when it was available. Tried there fried shrimp and that was really good actually. There beef and broccoli is okay. The crawlfish is okay very small though. They had like some sautéed chicken that I thought that was pretty good as well it was the last dish that was on the right side of the griddle that they cook in front of you. Didn't try the ribs but the fish that was next to it was pretty decent. The fried chicken was alright, a little too dry though like it's been sitting for so long. The fried cream cheese wontons were okay seemed like those were sitting for a while too. The honey walnut shrimp was decent it wasn't like really really good. The pizza was okay it's not like wow this is some good pizza. Tried the pork shrimp thing and it's not all that great. The black bean clams are really good! I really liked that dish. The fried wontons were okay. Didn't get to try the fried rice or chow mein. The egg custard bun that they had was really good too I liked that. And the watermelon is the only fruit there was pretty sweet compared to the others. The fried banana didn't really liked that and the garlic bread was just decent. But the black bean oysters and the black bean clams is where it's at! Tried the raw oysters and they're not that great. I didn't try the crab but it did looked good. The ice cream was decent and the sushi was pretty okay as well. Overall if I were to rate this place probably an 8/10 since I did bring my own pepper sauce to make the food 10x better and they had a pretty nice selection of different kinds of food. The price for dinner cost alot too it was about 21 dollars and some change including without a drink. Would come back here just not all...
Read moreHaven't been here since pre-CVD so about five years ago! Prices have gone up but not significantly which was surprising. I think it was $12.99 or so when I last ate here. Now it's $14.99 Mon to Sat for lunch which is pretty good considering that at any other sit down restaurant, 1 dish would set you back $15 or more. There were 8 of us total with 4 being (very obviously over 65 y.o.) seniors and 2 adults and 1 kid over 12 and 1 under 12 and they missed 2 of the seniors. When my in laws pointed that out, they said if you don't ask, they don't apply the senior discount, so that's why they only included my in laws bc we asked them if they still do the senior discount while we were waiting for my parents to arrive. So they only counted my in-laws. Anyways, the lady ended up giving $3 cash back to my Mil for the 10% discounts for my parents, it's really not much just $1.49 a senior.
The food was pretty good and plentiful, lots of variety. I had a lot of sushi rolls and nigiri. My kids liked the Mongolian grill the best, but they also enjoyed the sushi and dessert sections. The hot Chinese food section was pretty decent. You can see my fil was in buffet heaven as he's usually very restricted in his diet, he loaded up his plate like there's no tomorrow. We all did pretty good and enjoyed the food. I thought the variety was really quite extensive. The flan was better than home made ones I've had so that was notable, also the kiwi and pineapples were both good and I don't often have those fruits so I had some for the VitC 😆. Overall, it was good and it was nice that even on a Saturday being on the weekend after Thanksgiving for lunchtime, it was still the same as weekday lunch rate. Dinner is more, but we'd not come after dark here anyways as it's not the safest area and it's best not to eat that much in...
Read moreFour of us ate. Two of the four of us, it was their first time. Husband and I have eaten here prior to pandemic.
Sushi selection, compared to other buffet, had a fairly large variety and bit better too.
Salad was fair. Large pan of lettuce, mostly Romaine. Too large cut pieces to eat, had to cut first into bite size. Must be a time saving technique...😁
Chinese food, pizza, lots of deep fried food lathered with sauce (assume customers like that type of cooking), and a separate area offered you can have them cook noodle dishes for you.
Some seafood dishes: couple of flat, boneless fishes (did not try them); black bean clams which was fairly good: deep fried lightly battered fish (small whole fish that I liked); whole shrimp with head and shell on (tasty, liked).
One dish I tried, fair, pig feet. Chewy... needed to be cooked longer for a tender bite.
Desserts: typical bite size Asian cakes. One favorite is coconut macaroon. Gelatin, fresh fruit, i.e. pineapple, cantaloupe, etc. One other I enjoyed was ice cream cups. Ate chocolate, husband ate strawberry. Yummy!
Brother in law and wife comments were restaurant is large, clean and brightly lit. Agree.
Price for lunch about $13. (Tax and tip and drinks not included.)
My first Chinese buffet since covid pamdemic. We like it for the typical food...
