Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Sacramento

Waited 2days before posting this. Our house has supported and gave much business to this specific Ono since its opening, welcoming a healthy alternative to a lot of the fast food around here. Stopped by to get a teriyaki chicken plate to go and requested,as usual, for them to not put any macaroni salad in the meal(our lady cannot eat it) , and was told flat out NO! Mind you, I didn't ask for a substitution, just for it not to be in the meal because of a gluten intolerance and the cook "Maria" refused. They were not overly busy either. I couldn't understand so we left without her food and honestly I'm going to urge the residents to not go back. Customer service is so, so valuable nowadays. And when the loyal people who held you up when your business opened out here get dismissed with the wave of the back of your hand and side eyes, for no reason , that's when I had to say something. came here for grand opening. . my first time coming here. they offered 50 percent off the menu. . to be honest the mix plate which comes with a little bit of everything I wasn't impressed, but I find my self liking l n l Hawaiian BBQ better. . the mix plate came with rice and Mac salad. . I do like the Mac salad a lot. it was creamy and flavorful. the price point is around 11 I think. . they offer great teriyaki sauce which goes great with the chicken and meats. I also like how they had all the Sriracha packed togo to make it faster. . overall it was crowded inside and overall 30 mins before I can leave the place. which wasn't bad because the lady ordered like 10 plates and up. good spot if you having cravings. thanks...

This Florin Road location looks brand new. There is a nice wall mural on the exterior and a small outdoor sitting area. Ample amount of parking when I came around lunch time on Tuesday, but i know this mall/plaza is packed on the weekend.

It wasn't busy at all and I was greeted right away. I selected the Island Fire Chicken Plate Lunch. It came with two scoops of white rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. We also get a side - Crab Rangoon and a large fountain drink. It was a full meal and I had left over to eat later. The chicken was within my spicy tolerance.
