Atmosphere: The atmosphere was not inviting. It was a very small dining area, dark and cramped. The tables that were in there were all really close together. Availability: All the seats and tables were empty with the exception of two that were occupied. The open tables all had signs on them saying they were reserved at 5:00 p.m. We were looking around and thinking okay we obviously can't eat here because there is not a single open table. Reservations? It was after 5 pm at this point and the tables were still empty. Shouldn't some of those tables been opened up? Store hours: Why would they advertise the restaurant as open to the general public if they were not going to have anywhere for customers to sit. We waited there for like 5 to 7 minutes for help then decided to leave because we realized there's nowhere for our family to sit and eat. We heard some guy yell out something when we went outside the door leaving. We don't know if he was trying to talk to us or not but it didn't matter because we already decided we were going elsewhere. Customer service: An employee chased us out while we were getting ready to get into our car to ask us if they could help us. What in the world? They weren't asking us if we needed help while we were standing in the restaurant! But as soon as we're about to leave in the parking lot they come out an offer assistance? Makes sense...
Read moreIf you're looking for exceptional beer and mouthwatering BBQ, this is the place to go. Their selection of dark beers and IPAs is top-notch—rich, bold, and perfectly crafted. The trisket and pork burnt ends? Simply amazing. Smoky, tender, and packed with flavor, they were among the best BBQ I've had in a long time.
As someone who lived in the South, I know my grits, and let me tell you, these were perfection. Creamy with just the right amount of salt, they rival the best Southern kitchens. I couldn't stop raving about them.
The service was excellent, too. The family that runs this place truly knows how to make you feel welcome and cared for. It's clear they put their heart and soul into everything they do.
I'm so impressed and can't wait to return soon. Whether you're a BBQ lover, a craft beer enthusiast, or just someone looking for a great meal, you won't regret...
Read moreAfter reading all the great reviews, I had high expectations. The beer was good. The staff was good. The atmosphere was good. There wasn't any wow factors. A pool table, darts, board games or live music would keep the customers there longer. All the beer I tried, tasted the same. The flavors need to be more pronounced. In fact, I overheard a conversation between the Brewer and a customer. The Brewer said he might as well serve orange juice, because that is all a Hazy IPA is. I'm sure several beer connoisseurs would disagree with this Brewer. This isn't a great date spot, because the alewerks is so quiet and there isn't anything to do to...
