Went to brunch on a Sunday. Parking wasn't great, but that's not their fault. Decent atmosphere.
Right off the bat, it was apparent the hostess did NOT want to be there. While she wasn't mean, she also wasn't even SORT OF friendly and surely did not care. Our table wasn't set at all. She took our drink orders of coffee. Then we sat there. We had to prompt her to give us spoons so we could even stir our coffee. Then we had to ask for sugar. Then napkins. So she brought our entire table settings in a basket and just set it down, lol. I mean, seriously, come on. This is basic ABC-123 stuff.
Ordered two plates of crepes which were as thick as flour tortillas and bland. These are NOT crepes—2/10 rating. Our other order was a Mexican omlette-like dish and that was okay, but also not great. Both the beans and the rice were bland; the entree was maybe 6/10. Food was overall underwhelming.
It's like restaurants forget we're paying roughly $20 a plate with a drink so it's super irritating to get such subpar food. Top it off with the laxidasical service and that ensured it'll be our first and last trip.
Sidenote: How does this place have such high reviews?! I keep seeing this in Placerville—totally mediocre places get nearly perfect reviews? Have you people never eaten real food before or...
Read moreI do not recommend this restaurant My friend and I had brunch there today Wednesday November 2nd. We had to wait quite a while for her to wipe the syrup off the table. we ordered no problem. my friend had the Philly steak sandwich with cheese and fries and it was really good except she found a chunk of plastic in her food. They gave just under $5 off for the plastic in the food instead of comping the whole meal or maybe half the meal. I had the basic classic eggs benedict the English muffin was soggy the Hollandaise sauce was probably from a packet and it tasted Bland. the English muffin was soggy. the hash browns were cold and the coffee oh let me not forget about the horrible coffee!! I took a couple sips and made a funny face and I said to my friend "taste this it tastes funny" and so it tasted like it was from the bottom of the barrel it tasted nasty and I said you know I asked her I said can I get a fresh cup and can you make a fresh pot. she goes well we usually don't make a fresh pot at this late in the day it was 1:30 and they close at 2:00. but if they don't have fresh coffee maybe she should have said so maybe I would have just not ordered it but anyway not going to go back there's too many other wonderful places to to try and...
Read moreLoved our meal at Annie’s Mimosa. I’m glad my mother in law suggested we try them while we were in town. If you aren’t a local, this is a must go to while here. The food is so fresh and well made, it’s like having a home cooked meal by your best friends mom who knows how to cook with soul. Maybe I was just that hungry, but I’m passing all credit to their cook. My husband had the California Benny and I had the Carnitas Omelette with a strawberry mimosa. The portions were more than enough, and I couldn’t help but eat it all.
And for those who need to know what they’ve done for COVID compliance, they offer outside dining, with tables spaced out. It even looked like they took a potential 6 person table and had it set for only 2. The waitress wore her mask and while still being attentive, she gave us our space— very kind and welcoming. We loved our experience and will definitely come back. The quality here...
