Ginelle's Bakery — Restaurant in California

If you have never tried Spanish rolls, you are seriously missing out. Ginelle’s might not be my favorite, but they are the closest bakery to me that sells them and are still delicious (and cheap). Admittedly, I haven’t tried some of the more, um, authentic Filipino baked goods, but everything I have tried has been great! I love the ham and cheese rolls and my best friend loves their chocolate croissants and apple turnovers. Be advised that there will be a small charge ($0.50) for using a card, but if you pay cash obviously that’s a non-issue. They also don’t always have everything available, which is a bit of a bummer. I decided to visit Ginelle's Bakery for the first time, after seeing so many good reviews. I'd say that their yelp review rating is more reflective than the google rating (3.5 vs 4.3). I tried a mix of both their savory and sweet pastries to provide a proper review. The standout pastry is their spanish roll/senorita bread. Overall, this bakery is so-so, not bad, but not great either. I would only return if I had a very specific craving for spanish rolls/senorita bread, and...

Uhm I just wanted to say I got a cream cheese roll from here and it was the BEST roll I have ever tasted, I expected it to be plain but no it was more than that. I got a different cream cheese roll for the same price at a different store, and I was disappointed and thought of this place because it has way much better quality.

I will be coming back next week for more 🫡 And also for the cream cheese...
