I recently dined at Jack’s Urban Eats in Sacramento, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! This place has nailed the art of serving up fresh, flavorful food in a laid-back, urban vibe that’s quintessentially California. I went for their famous tri-tip sandwich, and it did not disappoint—tender, juicy meat piled high on artisan bread that’s sourced locally, with just the right amount of seasoning to make every bite pop. Paired it with their urban fries, which are a crispy, garlicky masterpiece—seriously, they’re worth the visit alone. The salad options are a big draw too; I watched them craft a custom one for the person ahead of me, loaded with seasonal veggies and a house-made dressing that looked incredible. The staff was super friendly and quick, even though the place was buzzing during the lunch rush. You order at the counter, but it’s not your typical fast-food feel—the food comes out fresh and hot, and the portions are generous enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed. The atmosphere is casual and eclectic, with cool artwork and a playlist that keeps the energy up without being overwhelming. I loved the outdoor patio option too—perfect for a sunny day. Prices are a tad higher than your average quick bite, but the quality and portion size make it worth every penny. My only tiny wish? Maybe a few more veggie side options to balance out the heavier stuff. All in all, Jack’s Urban Eats is a gem for anyone craving hearty, farm-fresh eats with a modern twist. I’ll be back—those fries are...

The Urban fries were amazing, a reason to drive 15 miles for lunch. Piled high with chunks of blue cheese, intense hot oil, generously seasoned with peppers. Now, MEH. I can barely find solid blue cheese, just a drizzle of blue cheese dressing. A dash of pepper flakes and supposed of hot oil may touch 1/4 of the fries. The only thing which with this fry is the price.
The two steak salads have dramatically rehired helpings of meat. I think calling them steak salads is a little deceptive. call them jicama salads with essence of meat. ThIn the Western Salad I had today, it was difficult to find a slice of steak among it's a much larger fried onion strips. A few pieces of fajita meat to be sure, but not much more than that.

Read moreI've been coming to this Jack's for months, if not years. Their salads are amazing! Their customer service is what i wanted to leave this review for though. I unfortunately got a salad recently that had a mistake that made it basically inedible to me. So I went back, hoping to just get a remake and expecting some sort of frustration on their end because customers can be rude about things. That was not what I got. The staff apologized for the mistake and went to get a manager for me right away so that he could help me. When the manager came out, he remade my salad (seemingly full of my chosen toppings :) and apologized agan, and was super polite about it. When my salad was done, I turned and walked away, thinking that I was happy that I had a new salad. Instead, the manager follows me and hands me my money back for the...
