Well, this is absolutely our last time at this Smashburger location. We ordered our food, Trffl Mush Swiss Smash w/sweet potato fries and a drink, a regular Smash and a CYO Crispy Chicken w/regular fries and no drink. Alajha charged us for two drinks but I didn't realize it at the time. She set the 2nd drink cup on the counter as we went to go sit down. My wife noticed the cup on the counter as we sat down but I told her we only ordered one drink. Alajha, instead of bringing the cup to us letting us know we forgot our cup just put the cup back with the other stock. My wife and I were two of three total customers in the restaurant at that time. After several minutes, Catlynd, is what I was told her name was, full figured girl with glasses, was having a conversation with her coworkers as she grabbed the mush/Swiss and classic smash from under the heat lamp, still talking with them, got half way to our table, turned around and went back to her coworkers to tell them something else and then finally delivered our food letting us know the chicken sandwich was going to be a little longer. We began eating and enjoying our food, because as I have said before, Smasburger is by far the best fast food burger restaurant in my opinion. The food was, as always, Delicioso! About 5 minutes later I noticed my Chicken sandwich was placed under the heat lamp. At that time several more customers walked into the restaurant and then several more a few minutes later. Alajha, Catlynd and Marissa the shift leader, were all standing at the register. Catlynd began taking the orders of the customers that walked in and Alajha was standing there on her phone. Alajha then walked over to the heat lamp, still on her phone, looked at my food under the heat lamp and then walked into the back room, grabbed her backpack, came back out to the dining room and placed her backpack on the counter by the heat lamp......still on her phone! I looked over to Catlynd who was behind the register and she too, was on her phone. While all this was going on, the food of the customers that walked in after us was now being placed under the heat lamp. Alajha disappeared into the back and Catlynd was still behind the register on her phone. Catlynd then walked to the heat lamp and started preparing to deliver the food of the other customers leaving my Chicken sandwich behind. I got up and told Marissa that I would like my money back for the chicken sandwich and fries. Marissa seemed surprised that I only wanted to be refunded for that and not the entire order. As I was explaining why I wanted my money back, I see Alajha in the kitchen with the cooks, all of them laughing and looking my way. You then here Catlynd say out loud, "go ahead and complain about me, I don't care!" Marissa was neither apologetic nor concerned. My wife and I proceeded to exit the restaurant and Catlynd could not resist mocking us by saying from across the dining room, "Hope you enjoyed your food, have a nice day!" We did not acknowledge her and left the restaurant. I just don't understand why this particular Smasburger location continues to hire employees with no regard to customer satisfaction. They want that check at the end of the day but with very minimal effort. As I enjoy Smashburger it will be no problem at all to go to another location, much further away in hopes of finding better...

Terrible Customer service and UNSAFE to eat. I'm writing this review with a heavy heart and I will also be placing a complaint with County of Sacramento Environmental Department. On 11/27/21 I placed a phone order because the online portal wasn't allowing me to do easy sauce on my burger. The person who took my phone order was new. That person was very friendly and helpful. I arrived and the two employees working at that time greeted me and were very friendly. I extremely appreciate 🙏 people who still care about providing good service. These folks were great. However- I ordered a baja guacamole burger easy sauce on a multi grain bun- and bless their soul when I got home there was no guacamole no jalapeno, it wasn't what I ordered at all. So I call back and they were willing to remake my order the way I originally ordered. When I arrived to pick up my burger there is a completely different crew operating the restaurant. When I walked in this second time within 45 min it was a completely different experience. First I walked in and the two employees had their backs to me and were either trying to dry something or sanitize something, whatever they were doing they were to busy to acknowledge that I walked in. So after asking for help.... the person who receives the food from the window turned around to say "hey". I explained that I was there to pick up the order they got wrong and that person looked me up and down says "oh" than DOES NOT WASH HANDS walks to the window grabs my burger does not bag it or wrap it than comes and drops the burger in my hand. I almost laughed thinking this person must be messing with me. They were not. Instead, they were treating me like their mistake was my fault. And to add insult to injury the person had an old smelly looking cast on their hand and that was the hand this person used to drop my unpacked burger in my hand. I was disgusted and asked to speak with the manager I saw earlier. Unfortunately the only manager there to help me was the same employee who was still sanitizing and never turned around to even acknowledge me until I asked to speak with a manager. I'm not going to waste my time complaining to someone who obviously doesn't care about customer service. So I left and I will never eat at this establishment again. I have frequented this smashburger for a few years and it really bums me out that this experience has ruined the whole place for me😒.
