Disclaimer: I am a Peet's fan. But I will always try out a new cafe! So since Peet's just across the road was jam packed and noisy, I thought I would try out Temple.

Love the ambiance of the place. Retro tunes were playing, with white and dark brown tones dominating the modern yet classic interior and outside the umbrella-shaded seating is inviting.

I had the Americano - if you order the traditional version ($2.60), it is more like a long espresso. Non-traditional adds a bit more hot water for the same price. The roast they used was a bit on the fruitier side for me - I am more a fan of South American blends with their deeper, chocolatey taste. (Hence, I'm a Peet's fan.)

Spouse got the mocha ($4.60!) which was good, but for the price would have wanted more of a kick. The chocolatey taste did not compare to the depth of some mochas that I've sampled.

To top that off, you are charged $.35 to use debit, regardless of how much you spend. We weren't informed of this, but I saw a sticker on the machine. And when you do swipe your card, the first screen that pops up asks how much tip you want to give. So the first reaction is guilt if you don't tip and then you feel cheated because of the $.35 extra charge. In any case, I cancelled the entire transaction to avoid feeling guilty and angry and just paid with cash.

Service was a bit formal and the girl at the register was not amused at me cancelling the debit card transaction. You could tell.

So, for nearly $8 if you pay with debit card you can get two coffee drinks without a tip. Ouch! I can see how this place has potential though for its clientele who are not as price-sensitive and/or prefer an alternative to the larger chains. As for me, I'm glad I tried out this spot, but I know...

Temple Coffee Roasters is my favorite place. I spend my time in this place more than my home as this branch is next to my home. every day I go there to study and run my business online. The place is very comfortable and quiet. and the people working there are very corporate and always smiling and want to serve you with the best service especially (amid, Leah,Addi ) and the other crew, unfortunately, don't know their names there are very productive and working hard and very fast as a machine. they are amazing the coffee quality is perfect as I have good coffee testing skills and I can easily identify the good quality or bad quality of coffee and the ingredients, so thank you for the good services

let's talk about some suggestions for the management department to keep this business doing the right thing and improving the business quality and achieve the loyalty and satisfaction of the customers

1-during my visits every day to this place. I see the people suffering from sitting in some chairs or tables as these places don't have an electric outlet and they start moving and waiting for others to leave or start sharing the electric outlets and the wires be under other feet. There are about 6 places does not have electric outlets

2- I hope there is a white page, or I pad or for customers suggestions like providing something in the future by the temple as the customers of the temple came from all around the world and maybe they suggest something will come with profitability to this company. there are thousands of hot drinks that came from all around the world just open a new window or space for suggestions...the customer's feedback is important guys
