Jalapeños Mexican Food — Restaurant in California

Probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had. First off let's start with the customer service. In one word it's horrible. And based off all the other reviews for this place I'm not alone. The employees are downright rude and sometimes don't even listen to you when you say something. I've had the cashier cut me off in the middle of my order because she thought I was "done with the order". Really? You thought I was done while I was still saying my sentence??? Honestly can get 10 times better service at my local Taco Bell. When I went I had the Carne asada burrito and it was the most bland and flavorless burrito I've ever had. For such an expensive burrito I would've expected more meat but it was hard to find. Most of it was beans and there was hardly any salsa. The few pieces of meat that was there was tough, chewy, and covered in grease. Everything at this place is covered in grease so I shouldn't have been surprised. I really don't understand why this place gets so busy at times of the day. Also the cleanliness of this place is questionable. I've been here twice and both times I saw the employees handling food...

This occurred late last year, so I understand not much can be done because I don’t remember the exact date (I know it was during the dinner hour) but the young man who argued with me and then called me “gringo” was in his late teens, about 6”2-6”3 with combed black hair.

I get that the restaurant business is difficult and people can be hard to deal with, but calling someone names and having an entire staff be so defensive just because I politely pointed out my order was for the time I had arrived was a bit much.

I appreciate you reaching out to me, and I do hope your staff listens to you because your food is very good. But, no matter how good your food is, nobody wants to be treated like they’re unwelcome to get...

Jalapeños Mexican Food is hands down one of my favorite spots! Their Bistec Ranchero Burrito is absolutely amazing — packed with flavor, perfectly cooked meat, and just the right level of spice. The sopes are another favorite of mine — fresh, hearty, and so satisfying.
