BEST donuts in Bakersfield! Trust me! I know... You wouldn't think that from the location, but you won't know until you try them. We've done multiple taste tests compared to regular and high-end, fancy (read expensive) donut shops across town... Jess's wins hands down! Even taste-tested the cronuts that were 3x as expensive from Sugar Twist...Jess's were best texture and flavor. This place is worth the drive. Sugar Twist, Smith's, Tastries and others will do in a pinch. But if you want to make those calories worth it, make sure you've got the pink box...Jess's Donuts are the BEST! Fyi: Smith's is good for their "Beehive", the best pastry...

Always recieved fresh delicious donuts. Tried just about every donut in town and this is my go to spot (Smith a close second). Nice staff and can get a bit busy during donut rush hour. The thing I love about this place is that I have not recieved an "old" donut with that distinctive taste.

Only suggestion I have is the maple and chocolate bars have are more dense, but this is a perfect world suggestion and by no means does it mean they are not good.

I just now got home with my boyfriend after spending $30 on a dozen donuts and 2 smoothies. I was taken back at the price but she explained it to me, (The apple fritters cost 2.50 each) and I understood and left kind of upset.On the ride home after talking with my boyfriend, and tasting the smoothies.... LET ME TELL YOU IM GOING TO BE BACK!! The smoothies alone were worth the $16. The donuts are great too. But those smoothies... so damn good. Great customer service like everyone else has said....
