While I am mostly happy with this place, it is very pricey and it was not covid safe. We had a pizza with sausage, cheese, and mushrooms, and it was a very tasty pizza. The crust was perfect, the cheese nice and gooey, and very good sausage as well. The pizza, for the record, had what I saw as a very reasonable price for a large pizza to split ($19). We also ordered a caesar salad. While the salad had very good dressing and croutons, we payed $11 for this salad. This would've been fine, but the salad was tiny. There is a picture linked. The picture makes it look bigger than it was, but it still does not look like one you would pay $11 for. It wasn't big enough for one person, let alone to split. The social distancing was also not good at all, with tables so close together you'd think it was pre-covid. I like to eat in restaurants, but only when there is decent social distance as not to spread covid, so this restaurant did not satisfy in that regard, something we think they should work on. We ended up getting takeout for this reason, and will not be eating inside this restaurant or on the patio until covid is over. Because we got takeout, I can't comment on the service, but they seemed friendly. Overall, while the food was very good, and I have few complaints there, the pricing for most of the dishes (not the pizza) seemed far from reasonable, and the restaurant was not...

My Daughters wanted to go to Joe's for her 13th Birthday! Had to drive down to Joe's personally when they opened at 2pm to make a reservation because they would not take one over the phone. They had to get Joe's permission before granting me the reservation for 11 outside. When my whole party arrived at 11 they had no idea about my reservation and told me we would have to wait 15 to 30 minutes. I had to talk to a manager who said she would resolve the issue and get us seated and she did 20 minutes later. Unfortunately it was right next to the guy that they employed singing with his Amp, speaker and guitar. The whole time we had this blasting in our ear. We could not have a conversation and my daughters 13 bday was not a hit. The food was good but over $300 I paid for an experience I will never do again. But my daughter got a free teramasu and we all split one free cup of spomoni amongst the other 10 of us. What a insult! Too bad Joe was too busy spending time with his friends instead of taking care of his customers. Shame! I met his Dad several times at Peppinos. His dad even gave us a bottle of his own homemade wine when my wife and I just got married. Still have the bottle. He knows how to take care of customers. Food good. Service and...

I feel that I can comment on Joe’s Italian Restaurant as an expert because I have been eating at LF Peppinos for 20 plus years. My family & friends still tease me at my devastation at their closing😭😭

There are some growing pains, probably more pronounced due to Covid

Good points: Fair pricing Happy staff

Excellent points: Meals are wonderful ( never a bad meal)

Areas for opportunity: We waited over 45 minutes for our two person dinner . We had to ask for bread after 35 minutes. I had a child which made the wait more intense

I understand the crazy amount of food to go is slowing down the process however I suggest that you have small pre made plates of ‘ hold over’ food if the wait is going to be that long

Had someone come over and said ‘ the wait is longer than 20 minutes for your food so management sent you this taster plate’ It could be cheese , bread, carrots etc That shows that management is aware , makes the client feel appreciated and keeps us from starving Maybe some special for the kids etc

I will continue to support Joe’s as I did Peppinos. I get the same meal Every time I go for 20 years , Ala Gina...

So glad we got to try Joe’s for the first time. I took a look at the menu before we arrived. I thought it was going to be a fancier restaurant but surprised it was more of a casual setting. There were a few booths and mostly tables for big and small groups. Nice bar that spans the bigger half of the restaurant. There is also seating outside. We got there when it opened and were greeted and seated right away. We were pleasantly surprised to see a Happy Hour menu (3-6pm). We ordered the fried calamari, the famous Lina rolls and the meatball sliders. My friend ordered a pasta with sausage and said she thought it was the best pasta she ever had. The pasta was very Al Dente for me and was not tossed and cheese was not served. You need to ask if you want cheese. The Lina rolls were fabulous and served with meat sauce. The sliders are a big size portion. It can get pretty loud in there. There was a large party seated nearby and only us in a booth. Service was good, prices are on the higher side on the regular menu. Good option for a taste of Italian. We were there when it opened and parking was easy on a Saturday.

I’ve only been once, was today. We’re going back tomorrow night as a family. My buddy had Parmesan Chicken with pasta using marinara (Instead of meat sauce) I had exactly what the waitress suggested and it was crazy stupid awesome. Fettuccine, shrimp, sausage and chicken in an almost vodka sauce( I do not recall the name of what she selected but she tweaked the menu a lot) we just paid $400 at the Harvest in Laguna 3 days ago that wasn’t nearly as good as our $40.00 lunch at Joe’s. I never bring leftovers home but I intentionally saved some of my meal and brought it home to entice my family to go back tonight for dinner but sadly they had already made plans. Absolutely incredible food, casual dining and our waitress was intimately knowledgeable of the menu.
