Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in California

Great pizza at this location.

Walked in, a gentleman came out of the back and was not smiling. All I saw was his gages in his ears and other jewelry hanging off of his face. He did however, take my order and said "Thank you". That part of it was a 4 for service, but overall everyone else(bartender) was great.

I ordered the "All you can eat". Everything on the salad bar was fresh to the eye and I was very impressed with that. Lettuce and all produce was very fresh and cold. This location prides itself on replacing old produce, I could tell!

The pizza was very good and hot! The heat lamps were working very well. Good thing, nothing better than hot pizza for sure. The pizza of course was the typical, great ingredients Mountain Mikes!

In the end, well fed and satisfied with every aspect of this establishment. It was very clean, no dirt or food on the floor and seemed to be managed very well.

The ONLY thing that bugged me was that host that took my order. He definitely needs some customer service coaching, busy or not, no excuse for under-par service. I would not consider him a bogey, but only 1 under par. "Good enough for government" as my Mom would say.

Overall, this establishment still runs the "All you can eat" which is great these days! I ran into another Mountain Mikes that was wayyyy under par and did not offer that! No bueno and I was not happy!

In the end, please visit this establishment. Recommended for at least the "All you can eat". I see a low review rating. Not sure what that is pointing to, but, for the most part, serve yourself is good.

As if the corporate infatuation with mountains and the 8 pointed star logo symbolism isnt weird enough, I ordered a medium pizza a few days ago. One of the slices had a very strong and strange chemical taste. Resembling a household cleaning chemical. In 2019 I was poisoned with a caustic substance in a pizza. This is very reminiscent of that experience. Immediate sharp pains after ingestion, pain localized to different areas as it was undergoing digestion. (Poison control states not to vomit up caustic chemicals)

Are the employees here incompetent with cleaning practices or are they malicious? I'll let you readers decide. And the next time something like this happens, I will certainly have my friends cousin scientifically analyze the slice in a lab. And if any employees or higher ups of Mountain Mikes are taking bribes to taint specific peoples pizza, or doing it on their own accord, mark my words, it will be discovered and exposed. Let's hope, for your sake, that this was simply cleaning procedure...

Every saturday I get a medium pizza to go right at 3pm here at this location in Gold River CA like clock work for over a year. All the employees there are great and I really mean that, it literally has become like an extended family. However, one employee really stands out. His name is Gem and this young man is way ahead of the game with me. He usually prepares my pizza himself and makes it LOADED with fixings and cheese, I literally need a fork to eat it! To top it off, he generally see's me walking up to the door and comes out from the back with my order in hand and beats me to the service counter, then prints the receipt and I am out the door, never have I had to wait!
