2 days ago Monady I had placed an order for 2 cinnamon rolls with pecans on the side at 9:22 pm with a cashier named linlinq and asked for an ETA from which I was told 20 minutes. I noticed several staff members were not occcupied and maybe like 3 tables in the Pala Cafe to which it looked pretty slow. After the 20 min went by I had asked for an update on my order and a different cashier named Samantha said she'll go check up on it. When she brought the order to me I opened the food boxes to make sure the pecans were on the side, which they weren't. I brought this up to the cashiers attention and showed her my receipt also says Pecans OTS and she offered to remake it, to which I agreed to, she also took the receipt with her. At this point it is already 10pm and my order was still not out. I politely asked for an update and this time it was the first cashier linlinq; she stated she'll be back and check up on the order. When she brings it to me I check the food items again and there were pecans on it. I am allergic to pecans. 40 min had passed by and my order of 2 cinnamon rolls was not accurately made. I then asked to speak to a manager Greg to communicate how it's been 40 min and my order could not be accurately made. He repeats the entire process I just went through of getting the food remade and how sorry he so call was, however its already 10:15 and my order was still not done. I then ask linlinq to give me a refund because the order is taking too long and it is taking more then 3 people including a manger to figure out what's going on with a simple order. She then goes to the back to find the manager Greg and he comes to the front and asked if I wanted a refund. I had said yes I would like a refund please, however he had said what can I do, to make this better for you or something similar to which I said look I don't think it's right for me to wait over 40 min for two 2 cinnamon rolls and not even get a slight discount nor anything. To which he said let me see what I can do and then, the other worker named Samantha comes through and asks what's going on. Greg replies he wants a refund and if it's ok to give him the food as well. She then smirks at me, Greg smirks and linlinq as well and they start laughing and Samantha says "thats not how it works honey". First of all I, the manager asked me how he can make it right for me and I implied a discount if so. Second, since when is it okay to smurk and laugh at customers in front if their faces and act like that if the situation is not serious. Third, I'm still waiting on my refund which no one can figure out. Time goes by and I see Greg helping other customer cashing them out, so it linlinq etc, so at this point it's like a slap in the face because why are they being cashed out and I'm still waiting. Greg then says " because we need the register" to which i replied " I was here before this customer arrived and you've been just walking back and forth doing i dont know what and if you need the register why didn't you use it before they order. Anyway, what really upset me was when he said "I dont know how to give you a refund" to which inwas super angry and told him you mean to.twll me.i stayed another 10 min watching you move back and forth just for me not to even get a refund. This is so ridiculous and I asked how are you a manager. If that was the case why didn't you call someone else who.knows how to do it. So kind you he leaves to the back so call to get someone. Like another 10 min go back and I ask linlinq to please go get me someone I just want my cash refund ( I had payed in cash). So then someone else come comes out named Frances and we explained to her the situation, she then explains that she can give me the food or the refund but I keep telling her I only want my refund. She then takes more time figuring out and says that the only thing she can accommodate for the inconvenience is she can give us 1 DRINK for free. Like really, that's a slap in the face where I have now been waiting too long for my order. She then gives me my receipt and closes...
Read moreIf I could leave less than 1 star, I would. At the request of Pechanga, I emailed them and they have ignored my emails, 4 times, and never responded back. We made reservations for Thanksgiving and when we arrived, realized we didn't have to, hardly anyone was eating there and that was our first clue. When we asked the waiter about the Thanksgiving menu, they had no idea what kind of gravy, how many slices of ham or turkey, or what was in the stuffing. She said she would be right back and then forgot about us and went to another table. So we called over another server and asked and she had no idea either and said she would be right back and she never came back. Yet another server came to take our order and I told her we still hadn't received answers to our questions and she didnt know either. It had already been 30 mins! So we just went ahead and ordered the thanksgiving dinner special. We sat contemplating if we should just leave and eat chinese but decided to stay. What a mistake! The food came out and everything was BROWN. You couldn't distinguish the turkey from the stuffing from the mashed potatoes. There was a pound of gravy just glopped on everything and the gravy was disgusting! The turkey tasted processed. The mashed potatoes tasted and looked like glue with brown gravy. The stuffing tasted like gravy. The rolls tasted like nothing and the butter had no flavor! How is that possible? Three bites and everyone was done. We left and went to the food court and had chinese. Two thanksgiving disgusting dinners, a glass of milk, a cup of coffee and a horrible quesadilla for $71.00! We will NEVER eat...
Read moreWell, this is a classic tale which I didn't think would occur in 2022. The Cafe restaurant was approximately 1/3 full with plenty of seats near the front. We were escorted through the Cafe past numerous open seats and we were sat at a table in the back next to the exit sign. Now I asked the person seating us if we could sit in one of many empty tables we were passing. But she ignored us. I sat for about 5 minutes then I got up and returned my menu, and requested to speak with a manager at the front desk. To clarify this event, I am black, my wife is white, and my daughter looks more black than white. We were all together.
I was introduced to "Nathan " who was very much concerned regarding my issue and actually allowed me to finish. He then took me over to the Cafe to speak to the manager there. "Kerry " was very transparent as he approached with an I don't care what you think, and I don't want to hear it attitude. It was clear in his body language. I started to explain and he cut me off telling me that it was a server issue and that none of his people would do something like that. Our conversation quickly was going no where. He was NOT concerned about anything I had to say. I thanked him for his time and left.
It was funny because as Nathan and I was waiting for Kerry to come out, we watched the server sit two older white ladies near the front, not the back!!.
Pechenga is a great casino and I have never experienced poor treatment up until now at ONLY The Cafe. The employees and the manager need diversity training. The manager Nathan was an example of EXCELLENT...
